The Heiress Reborn With A Mystic Space (Lillian) novel Chapter 1142

Ten hours later, a private jet touched down smoothly on the helipad at the Austin Estate.

Sebastian stepped off the aircraft with measured, deliberate strides. He wore a tailored black suit that accentuated his sharp, imposing presence, his long fingers casually fastening the middle button of his jacket as he moved.

A sleek black sedan was already waiting for him a short distance from the runway. An associate stepped forward and said, "Everything has been arranged exactly according to your instructions, sir."

A chilly resolve flashed through Sebastian's dark eyes. "Let's go." Without another word, he climbed into the back seat.

The car sped through the city, pulling up an hour later before the massive wrought-iron gates of a sprawling estate. The ornate gates slowly swung inward to grant them entry.

A moment later, the vehicle brought them to a halt right in front of the main house.

The moment the group stepped out of the car, the head butler, who had been waiting by the entrance, greeted them with a perfectly practiced smile. "Welcome, Mr. Sebastian."

"Where is Eric?" Sebastian demanded, his voice entirely devoid of warmth.

The butler maintained his professional smile. "He is inside. Right this way, please." He led the group into the main residence and toward the drawing room, where he turning to a nearby maid and instructed, "Bring some tea."

Sebastian took a seat on the sofa with an air of cold detachment. "Don't bother," he said sharply. "I came here exclusively to see Eric. Where is he?"

Eric walked into the drawing room and confronted the man radiating raw hostility. A sneer touched his lips. "I haven't the slightest clue what you're talking about. Shouldn't Lilian be back in Dracovia at your beloved Ravenwood Manor? Why on earth would she be here? Unless, of course, you mistreated her and drove her to run away. If that's the case, you're entirely to blame. She loves you so deeply, how could you find it in yourself to hurt her?"

"Eric, do you honestly think I would travel thousands of miles to find you if I didn't have ironclad proof?" Sebastian's voice dropped to a chilling register. "You know exactly where Lilian is."

Eric let out a soft, mocking chuckle. He brushed past the man, sank lazily into one of the armchairs, and took a slow sip of his tea. "This tea really doesn't taste right once it's gone cold."

He set the cup back on the table, his gentle tone laced with a sudden sharpness. "I genuinely have no idea where Lilian is. If you're so convinced that I've hidden her away, go ahead and search the place. Be my guest, if you think you can find her."

Sebastian strode directly over, grabbing the man tightly by his collar. "Eric, I am not in the mood to play cat and mouse with you. You know exactly what happened to me. Lilian sacrificed everything to save my life by transferring all her blood to me, and then she was taken away. In all of Dracovia, you are the only person she could have turned to, and you are the only one with the medical expertise required to pull off such a procedure. You might have wiped the surveillance footage from the hospital and Skyreach Group, but you couldn't erase the city's traffic cameras. They clearly show that you were the last person Lilian saw before she vanished."
