Sienna froze, then turned back with a practiced smile. “Just going inside.”

“If you’ve got a second, I have one quick question. Thirty seconds, tops,”

Thirty seconds. If she bolted now, Iris‘ fans would tear her apart online, and everyone here would assume she was guilty.

“Of course. Go ahead.”

Iris swayed slightly as she moved closer, that sly fox smile playing on her lips. She tilted her head, eyes glittering with amusement.

“Funny thing–I just checked with Queen. She says she doesn’t know you.”

Sienna’s smile cracked.

She could feel the weight of a hundred stares, all of them mocking.

that?

“I really should head in now. Next time, I’ll invite Queen for coffee. Nice seeing you.”

The second she turned away, her smile vanished. Something sharp and cold flickered in her eyes.

Damn Iris. Did she have to push it just to embarrass her? Fine. She wasn’t going to let her win.

Iris hadn’t expected that response, and her smile only widened.

This was going to be fun.

When it came out that Stella was Queen, would Sienna want to take back every word she’d just said?
