Chapter 181 Pick Dates
A sweet kiss came again…
When they pulled apart, Stella opened her eyes and felt the seawater churning around them.
“Elias,” she whispered.
“Don’t be scared,” he said, squeezing her hand tightly.
One by one, “mermaids” swam over, each holding a bag of pearls in all colors of the rainbow.
Stella covered her mouth in disbelief. It was her family.

Frederick, dressed as a mermaid, teased, “Little lady, I’m the sea’s mailman. These are blessings from the heavens.”
Jasper, in his mermaid costume, said gently, “My princess, this is the sun from above. She sent me to bring you her best wishes.”
Kenneth, as a mermaid, declared, “I’m the underwater messenger. I witness you two becoming a couple today. If this man ever lets you down, come find me–I’ll drag him to the bottom of the sea.”
Amelia, dressed as a mermaid, added, “Stella, I’m the sea’s guardian of justice. If anyone ever hurts you. call me. I specialize in dealing with jerks–even family.”
Each “mermaid” offered their blessings, along with warnings for Elias. If he dared to hurt Stella, he’d be in serious trouble.
‘Don’t worry. They all have your back, and so do I. No one will ever hurt you again,” Elias said.
Stella smiled brightly. “Elias, marrying me–do I make you feel wronged?”
‘Realizing my dream could never feel wrong,” he replied.
They held hands tightly, staring into each other’s eyes with deep affection.
Back at Moore Manor, Stella opened every gift and cherished the blessings from the mermaids
For the rest of her life, she’d never have to suffer again. That was Elias‘ promise–and her family’s too.
Veyra.
Nolan stared at the painting Seraphina had given him, his brows furrowed.
“What’s wrong? Don’t you like it?” Seraphina asked, her heart skipping a beat.
She’d guessed Nolan had identified her as the girl he was looking for through the sketches she’d found. From what she remembered, the original style matched this one. So she’d painted ‘sunlight through storm clouds” based on her own understanding.

“Your style has changed,” Nolan said, putting the painting away.
His cold tone made her suppress her panic. “I’ve studied under many teachers. My style has evolved over
time.”
“Hmm,” Nolan replied, saying no more.
But ever since they’d slept together, a vague sense of unease lingered in his chest.
“Nolan, don’t you like it?” she pressed.
‘I like anything you paint,” he said.
Seraphina let out a sigh of relief. She followed him into a small compartment in the study–only to find it filled with paintings. Her eyes widened in shock. These were works by Master Inkblot, many of which had sold for millions at auctions. He’d collected so many.
‘You really like Master Inkblot’s paintings?” she asked.
T
‘Yes,” he nodded.
‘Do you know them personally?” Seraphina asked eagerly. If I could get guidance from Master Inkblot, it would
be an honor.
‘No,” Nolan said. He’d fallen in love with the artist’s work at auctions years ago and bought every piece he could find. He’d loved collecting paintings since he was a child–all because of her.
‘Nolan, can you do me a favor?” she asked.
‘Go ahead,” he said.
‘For my art exhibition in Azure Peak City–could you invite Master Inkblot to attend?”
Nolan stared at the paintings, curiosity stirring in his heart. Once, he’d seen hints of his little girl in these works. Unfortunately, Master Inkblot was said to be an elderly woman. He’d thought his little girl would have wanted to become such a master, so he’d bought the paintings, hoping to appreciate them with her someday. But their relationship had been too strained back then.
“Sure. I’ll have my assistant arrange it,” he said.
“That’s wonderful!” Seraphina kissed him excitedly. Nolan’s heart remained calm. What’s wrong with me? I’ve gotten everything I wanted, yet I feel no joy.
Nolan, she’s the little girl you’ve been longing for. You swore your life belonged to her.
