They all knew how he’d survived all these years.
If it hadn’t been for searching for Nicole, he would have fallen apart long ago.
Jasper had been lost in memories. At her question, he looked up and smiled faintly.
“I’m fine.
“I’m happy you two made peace.”
“We all regret what happened to Nicole. Jasper, keep her in your heart and live the rest of your life happily.” Jaron patted his shoulder.
The three of them smiled at each other.
For a moment, it felt like the old days. Their youthful laughter seemed like only yesterday.
Half a lifetime had passed. The memories were still beautiful.
The only regret: the four had promised to grow old together. One never came back.

Stella visited the hospital every day until Amelia was released. Then she and Elias finally left for their honeymoon.
They went to see penguins, visited the pink sea, went skiing, and watched the Northern Lights.
Fans of Stella recognized them everywhere they went.
Elias heard the same thing over and over: love her well.
“Stella, are you writing a song?”
She was full of inspiration. She had already written many lyrics and melodies.
“Yeah.”
Elias made her a cup of coffee.
He sat quietly until she finished, then gently massaged her shoulders.
They leaned by the window, watching the aurora.
“The view isn’t as good as last night’s glass igloo.”
At their glass igloo, they could see the snow and lights straight from bed.
The only downside was the lack of privacy.

Elias ruffled her hair.
“We’ll stay there again tomorrow.”
He lifted her chin, his voice low and tempting.
“Mrs. Cross, it’s late. Time to rest.”
He kissed her deeply.
Outside was freezing cold. Inside, heat flared between them.
“Stella… do you want kids?”
He suddenly craved a child of their own.
“Yes.”
“Boy or girl?”

“I love them both.”
Clothes fell to the floor.
“I love you so much, Stella. More than anything.”
“You’re my everything.”

The calm, serious Elias let all his deepest feelings spill out at moments like this.
His voice was deep, warm, and rough enough to make her weak.
They held each other tightly, completely lost in one another.
The next morning, Stella stared at the full trash can and covered her burning face.
Elias hugged her from behind. “You’re up early. Do you even have energy?”
“My phone won’t stop vibrating.”
She snuggled in his arms and checked her messages. Iris had sent her a long string of texts.
“Stella, great news–my desert concert got approved!” she messaged excitedly.
“Social media crashed today. Do you know why?”
“Fans are begging you to perform with me. Your new songs are so sweet,” she added.
“One more thing: Frederick’s gonna propose to Tess at the concert. Keep it secret!”
“Have you thought about having a honeymoon baby?”

“Still in bed? Guess Mr. Cross‘ keeping you busy,” she teased playfully.
“I won’t bother you anymore. Enjoy yourselves!”
Elias kissed her cheek. “Should we listen to Iris?”
“I’m starving.”
Elias immediately got up to make food.
Stella watched him and smiled, truly happy.
She texted back, thinking about a honeymoon baby.
It doesn’t sound bad at all.
Little Elias will be adorable.
