Kieran placed her into the car and stepped hard on the gas. The vehicle sped away at once.

“Kieran, take me here.” Chloe sent him an address.

Kieran’s heart raced. He looked at her as if he wanted to devour her.

Chloe placed her hand on the smart lock, and the gate opened. He drove inside and parked in the underground garage.

As soon as Kieran got our, he grabbed her hand and hurried inside, moving clumsily because he did not know the way.

Chloe smiled, grabbed his tie, and pulled him close.

They were so near that they could feel each other’s breath.

“Mr. Jagger, it’s still not too late to regret.”

“Remember–until I say stop, you cannot be with anyone else. Or you’ll regret it.”

Before Kieran could reply, Chloe pressed her lips to his, silencing him.

The fire ignited at once. The air around them grew hot.

Kieran held the back of her head, pouring all his longing into the kiss.
