Chapter 337 Wife–Obsessed Dads
“Jax, I was born not to take abuse or suffering. Anyone who upsets me will be kicked out of Azure Peak.”
“That’s my Cross heiress.”
Jax poured five glasses of wine. “Cheers, everyone. Let’s celebrate Chloe for finding someone she likes.” “Liam, you aren’t against it, are you?”
When Liam didn’t move, Chloe handed him the glass herself.
“Are you happy with him?”
“I am.”
“Then I have no problem with it.”
The siblings drank and chatted, and the topic soon turned to work.
“Jason, Miles, I want the Shaw Group contract.”
“It’s yours if you want it.” Jason decided on the spot.
“Don’t worry, I’ll multiply your profits.”
“I trust you.”
Chloe clinked glasses with him. “Jason, are you taking over Uncle Frederick’s place?”
“Mom wants to travel the world. Dad’s afraid she’ll fall for someone else, so he’s retiring early to go with
her.”
“Haha…”
Miles burst out laughing. “Jason, your mom’s not young anymore. What’s your dad worried about?”
“Please. Your dad’s not scared? Look around–except Jax, none of our dads are any better. They’re all total simps for their wives. Even at eighty, they’ll still be terrified someone might steal them away.”
“Jason, we won’t end up like that.” Miles patted his shoulder.
“I’m not that kind of guy,” Jason declared.
Jax burped. “Don’t leave my dad out. He’s just as clingy. He just doesn’t get the chance.”
Outside the door, Elias, Frederick, and Kenneth exchanged looks. Leo covered his mouth and laughed.
“Maybe we shouldn’t go in.”
Frederick looked helpless. I’m not that clingy.

They turned and saw Jaron standing there, equally annoyed.
“Mr. Wellington,” Frederick greeted.
The door opened.
Miles rubbed his eyes. “Wait… I think I see my dad, the wife fanatic.”
“You’re drunk.”
“Right. He’d be at home singing with Mom. His singing is terrible, but you can’t tell him that.”
Miles cleared his throat and sang, “Two lovebirds, side by side…
“Haha…”
“Miles, that’s awful.”
“I’m imitating him! I sing fine. My ears survived all these years only because I’m strong.”
Miles laughed until he froze, staring ahead.
“Chloe, I think I see your dad.”
“No way. He’s definitely giving Mom a foot soak at home.”
Chloe stood up unsteadily.
“Your dad gives your mom foot soaks?”
“My dad spoils her like crazy. I’m making my boyfriend learn from him.”
Chloe blinked. “Jason, someone here looks just like your dad.”
“Really? Let me see.”
Jason took one look and stiffened. “Dad.”
“Where?”
Jax patted his shoulder, then turned and saw Elias.
“Uncle Elias, you’re here! Have a drink?”
Jax wanted to cry.
He’d known he shouldn’t have crashed these brats‘ little gathering.
And now, even in his middle age, he was the one taking the blame.
棒
“They insisted I come. It would’ve been rude to refuse. I… I’ll go settle the bill first.” Jax tried to run.
Elias grabbed him by the neck.
Everyone was forced to sober up, except Chloe, who was sent home early to sleep.
The next morning, Chloe woke up with a throbbing headache.
“You’re awake.”
Chloe looked around. “Mom, did Liam bring me back?”
“Drink this. It’ll help your head.”
Stella handed her a bowl of dark soup.
Chloe drank it obediently.
“Do you remember last night?”
“I drank with my brothers.”
