The Heiress With Seven Secret Identies (Stella Shaw) novel Chapter 408

"You designed them yourself?" Nicole asked, surprised.

"I drew the sketches." He reached out, his long fingers gently tucking a stray lock of hair behind her ear as the wind caught it.

"Is there anything you can't do?"

"I don't dare stop learning," Jasper said softly. "I'm always afraid I won't be good enough for you."

Under the shadow of a massive banyan tree, they leaned into a natural embrace.

"Nicole, did Mr. Shaw talk to you about the engagement yet?"

"He did."

Nicole tightened her hold on him. In the stillness of the night, her voice rang out clear and steady. "I, Nicole, of my own free will, promise to be engaged to Jasper. To love him, care for him, and be there for him. We will work together, grow together, and build a beautiful future together."

"And I, Jasper, of my own free will, promise to be engaged to Nicole," he countered. "To love her, spoil her, protect her, and create a life of happiness. I promise that my love and patience will never fade after the engagement, nor will I ever neglect or ignore her once we're married. As the years go by, I will only love her more. If I ever break this vow, may I spend the rest of my days alone."

Jasper cupped her face, unable to hold back his feelings any longer, and leaned in to kiss her.

Caught off guard, she gave his back a gentle, playful tap. He wrapped his arms around her waist, his long strides carrying them through a few more joyful spins before finally pinning her gently against the trunk of the banyan tree.

The kiss deepened as the world around them faded, leaving only the intensity of their affection. When they finally pulled apart, their eyes met in the darkness, full of unspoken devotion. Their breath came quick and hot, and Nicole felt her cheeks flush with a sudden warmth.

He stroked her face tenderly, a soft smile playing on his lips. "Nicole," he whispered, his voice low and raspy, "I really do love you so much."

Feeling a bit shy under his gaze, she gave him a sweet, glowing smile before tucking her head against his chest, listening to the steady, powerful rhythm of his heart.

"It's getting late," Jasper said eventually. "Let me get you home."

"Okay."

He took her hand as they wandered back through the park. Realizing she had been on her feet most of the day, he suddenly dropped into a crouch in front of her. "Hop on. I'll give you a piggyback ride."

Nicole glanced around at the few scattered passersby in the dark. After a moment's hesitation, she leaned forward and wrapped her arms around his neck. As he lifted her up, her face lit up with a look of pure, effortless happiness.

The two Bugattis cruised side by side down the road. When they hit a red light, they both rolled down their windows.

Nicole started blowing him hand-heart gestures, sending them over one after another. Jasper caught them, pressing his hand to his chest before blowing her a kiss in return. They looked at each other and laughed, their faces glowing with happiness.

The light turned green, and they set off again toward the Shaw estate. They pulled to a stop at the villa gates.

"Get some sleep," Jasper said, reaching over to give her hair a gentle, affectionate muss. "Don't stay up late."

"You be careful driving back," Nicole said. "Text me when you get home."
