Broken glass from the shattered champagne flutes dug into Ruby’s skin as she hit the floor. Blood streake down her legs, and she let out a scream that cut through the chaos.

Across the room, Silas was barely hanging on. Paramedics worked frantically over him, but when word o what was happening reached him, his eyes rolled back and he went completely limp.

Meanwhile, the livestream had completely exploded.

[JusticeForTheTaken: Oh my god. That’s her. That’s the woman who saved us. She pulled us out of hell.].

Derek couldn’t defend himself at all. Just as things really got going, the stream cut out, leaving everyone watching in a frenzy.

By the time Elias and Leo arrived, the place was complete chaos.

Leo stood there stunned. He glanced at Elias and caught something unexpected in his expression–his sharp eyes were gleaming with what almost looked like… pride.

“Elias. You’re into this?”

This time, Elias didn’t deny it.

“Adorable.”

Leo rolled his eyes so hard it hurt.

Adorable?!

That was what he called adorable? Was he for real?

“Gideon. Make sure no rumors about Stella get out. Shut down anything that could hurt her.”

“Got it, Mr. Cross.”

A soft smile spread across Elias‘ face as he watched her–this fierce, unstoppable woman–and something in his chest shifted.

“Stop! You’re going to kill him!”

Jasmine seemed to snap out of it and lunged forward, trying to pull Stella away.

Stella yanked Derek up and shoved him backward. He stumbled, lost his balance, and crashed straight intc Jasmine.

“We’re looking for Derek.”

A row of officers in navy uniforms appeared, and for a moment, the Thorne and Harlow families actually looked relieved.

“Help! She attacked us!”

Ruby’s gown was soaked in blood now, her perfect updo completely destroyed, makeup running down her face.

Elaine stepped forward, determined to get her story in first. “It’s her. Stella. She destroyed the Thorne family’s engagement. Arrest her.”

Arthur had stopped pretending to be calm. His eyes narrowed into something cold and dangerous.

“This woman is clearly delusional. We believe she’s having some kind of breakdown. We’d like you to take her in for evaluation–get her the help she clearly needs. The Thorne family will cover all medical

expenses.”

The rest of the family caught on quickly. They all stepped forward, parroting the same line–Stella was unstable, she needed to be committed..
