"Am I wrong?" Penelope glared at him. "It has been three years. Has she given you a child? Lyra was all alone overseas, and she brought you back such a big, beautiful son. If you do not treat her right, who will you treat right?"

Her words were painfully blunt, and the air in the living room instantly froze.

Lyra looked down, her fingers subconsciously twisting the hem of her dress, her ears flushing red with what seemed like shy embarrassment.

Just then, Leo stirred in her arms and woke up.

Lyra quickly stepped forward, coaxing gently. "Be a good boy, Leo, Grandma is just so happy. Come here, let Mom hold you."

She took the boy back, gently patting him while turning to Penelope. "Penelope, please try not to get too emotional, it is not good for your health."

"How can I not be emotional?" Penelope wiped her tears. "Christian, look at this child, so well-behaved and sweet! This is a true Lancaster! Not like that Evelyn, always so lifeless and depressing to look at!"

"Mom!" Christian finally snapped, his voice dropping to a freezing temperature. "That is enough."

"What do you mean, enough?" Penelope was on a roll and refused to back down. "Let me tell you, Christian, if you still want me as your mother, you will divorce her immediately and marry Lyra! That is the best thing for you and for this child!"
