Chapter 141
ISIDORA
The girl I had left in charge of the stall was practically glowing the moment she saw us.

“Your Ladyship, look, look, I sold everything, and here’s the money,” she told me, rushing into the little wooden booth behind the stall and searching for a small tin can half hidden on one of the shelves.
“No one dares come looking for trouble anymore, not since they found out you’re an important Estingia,” she assured me handing me the tin with trembling fingers.
When I held it in my hand, I realized how heavy it really was.
I pulled off the old metal lid, and inside it was packed with coins and those high-value bills some packs used for buying and selling.
“You did well. Here, take this.” I took out what I thought was fair payment, and even though her eyes widened with fear and she tried to refuse, I made her take the gold coins.
Tears gathered in her eyes.
“My lady is too good. L… I didn’t do it alone. Your guards took turns watching the stall too, even at night,” she said, mentioning those men Blaze had turned into his subordinates.
A fine band of bandits he had found for himself, but those men obeyed crushing strength, and somehow, in the future, they became the reliable guards I could trust to watch the businesses in this pack in my name.
The girl left practically bouncing with joy, and I saw the Isidora from the past reflected in her.
With a smile, I watched Blaze close the door.
It was incredible how quickly and dizzyingly my life had changed.
“Blaze, let’s gather the money and all the jewels now. We’ll take everything to a safe place inside the LookWood mansion. Tomorrow, we’re leaving here,” I told him, and he nodded.
He went to a corner beneath the pile of firewood and knocked it down.
Underneath, we had dug into the square patch of earth.
From the first day, we had left the riches we had looted from the Blue Forest there.
I had always imagined I would be watched, that Lucio would learn my movements, so we had set the trap with the fake Dream Dust from the very beginning.
His ambition was so predictable that it didn’t take much intelligence to guess his next steps.
The only thing that did surprise me was that, in the end, he decided to betray me for Stephanie. Maybe he finally didn’t trust that I would choose him.
When Blaze pulled out the black bag loaded with treasure, we checked it, and everything was still there.
“Good, good. Let’s stop by the mansion to hide it, and then we’ll go quickly to the dungeons…”
Blaze frowned a little. I knew he didn’t like that I was going to visit Lucio one last time, but I had to do it. I had to see his fall with my own eyes.
