Chapter 182
ISIDORA
“That’s not true! Stop acting important! Your mentor isn’t going to lend you that kind of money!”

“Who told you I need a loan from my mentor?” I stood all at once, tired of her scandal. “Do you think all of are like you, depending on Daddy’s money?”
My aura came out with a deadly edge, and behind my back, Mika and Karla began to growl in warning.
A cold, oppressive aura came from where Blaze stood.
“Make your offer already if you’re so rich and stop wasting everyone else’s time! Come on, raise my damn bid!”
My roar echoed through the hall, and I saw everyone take a step back, including the warrior in charge.
I could feel the crackle of my magic lifting my hair with a dangerous current.
“Calm down, Lady Isidora. You cannot fight here,” she told me, her voice tense.
But my eyes were fixed only on that idiot Zara, while hers were already webbed with veins from the anger eating her alive inside.
“I offer… six thousand one hundred…” she said through clenched teeth, and I almost wanted to laugh.
“I thought you were going to bid six thousand and one.”
When I said that, muffled laughter rippled through the room.
The same girls who had been following her lead before were now looking at her with open mockery.
“Damn you…”
“I bid seven thousand gold coins,” I said without hesitation, completely sure of my capital.
I enjoyed the disbelief in everyone’s eyes all over again. Nothing like being underestimated and then getting to slap everyone in the face.
“What do you say, Lady Zara?” The warrior shifted her attention to Zara after giving me a look that was far too intense.
I think she was still trying to decide whether I was lying or not.
We all looked at Zara, and Goddess… these were the kind of moments that almost gave me an orgasm.
Her face twisted with rage, shame, and the urge to tear me apart. Red began crawling over her entire face.
Her whole body trembled, and a black Estingia mantle stirred over her skin.

I felt the pressure of her wolf trying to intimidate me, but no.
Absolutely not.

“I don’t have that much money,” she said in almost a whisper, then added with poison, “And I’m sure she doesn’t either…”
“That is Lady Isidora’s problem now,” the warrior said, taking her own little revenge this time. “The Black Pearl Chamber and the adjoining Training Hall are hereby awarded to Estingia Isidora.”
When she made the announcement, the entire tapestry began to burn with a kind of black flame that quickly devoured the image.
I looked at it one last time. The black marble floor, the enormous bed, the pool in the bathroom. It was impressive, and it had cost me a small fortune, but it was worth it.
“Then I’ll take the other chamber on that floor…”
“Well, I’m sorry, but my friends want that chamber for themselves,” I said, causing another wave of chaos.
Zara looked at me as if she were finally about to have a heart attack.
“Are you messing with me on purpose, Isidora?”
I didn’t answer. I only watched Karla and Mikaela’s astonished faces.
“Do you want it or not?” I asked them clearly.
“Yes, yes…”
“But it’s shared. The two central bedrooms have privacy, but there are common areas,” the assistant explained.
“We want it anyway,” Karla answered at once, and from the corner of my eye, I noticed the crimson on Mikaela’s cheeks.
A subtle smile appeared on my mouth.
It seemed some of my suspicions were true.
“So what? Are we starting the bidding, or do you need to go call Daddy and ask about your allowance?”
The little laughs erupted through the hall again, completely sinking that foolish girl’s ego.
I swear I was going to sleep like a baby that night.
A very wicked baby, but who said revenge didn’t feel too sweet every once in a while?
That day, we took over the most privileged section of the entire auction. And on top of that, we had that rare training hall that would help us become more powerful in very little time.

I sent Blaze to fetch the ten thousand gold coins my little fit of madness had cost, and he returned with tw heavy leather bags that had to be deposited in the treasury.
But while we were following the assistant as she guided us toward the reinforced doors of the treasury on t Full Moon Estingias‘ floor, another problem exploded.
Because Zara wasn’t going to swallow that metaphorical slap, and she was definitely trying to make me slap her for real.
“Lady Solange, she’s the Estingia who stole! She was nothing but a latrine–scrubbing servant. It’s impossible for those ten thousand coins to be hers!” I turned when I saw Zara arrive with another imposing woman, blond–haired and stern–eyed.
“I demand those bags be inspected! I’m sure her slave stole that money for her!”
My frown deepened at the accusation.
Blaze’s low growl rumbled behind me, but I placed my hand on his chest and stopped him.
“Easy, girls,” I said to Elessia, Karla, and Mika.
That Estingia, more powerful than us, stopped in front of me, giving off a pressure that made me sweat.
“Lady Isidora, is it true that you stole or ordered the theft of those ten thousand gold coins? And I advise you to think very carefully about your answer…”
