The Last Lycan King Is My Slave
A Date With The Lycan King
NARRATOR
“Dora, what exactly are we doing?”
Elessia asked again when the carriage stopped somewhere she didn’t recognize.
All the secrecy was killing her.
“Wasn’t it always your dream to visit the capital? We’re going to live out our childhood dream…”
Isidora smiled and pulled out a simple mask she’d already prepared for her.

It was gold and black, matching Elessia’s dress, which made her look like a woman from a noble family.
“Put it on…”
She handed it to her while slipping on her own, in shades of gold and mahogany that matched her much simpler dress.
“But won’t we stand out even more like this?”
Elessia did as she was told, though she was starting to get nervous.
“No. There’s a special festival tonight by order of His Majesty the King, so we’ll blend right in.” Dora winked at
her.
“One of the perks of your best friend sleeping with the man in charge.”
“You’re shameless.” Elessia smiled, more relaxed now, thinking it would be a night out for just the two of
them.
But when the carriage doors opened onto a quiet street and she climbed down behind Isidora, she realized this wasn’t going to be an outing for two.
It was going to be four.
A tall man wearing a dark mask took Isidora’s hand.
Obviously, the Lycan King.
Vhaelor tried to lead Isidora away, but she stayed there, watching the exact moment Elessia noticed Cassian’s outstretched hand.
His face was hidden behind a simple mask too, but she recognized him immediately.
She hesitated for a second before slipping her fingers into his hand.
The second Cassian’s pheromones hit her, she almost sighed with pleasure.

She’d been avoiding him ever since that night on the balcony, but she would give him a chance.
At least tonight.

“Ele, if you feel uncomfortable…”
“Idiot. After setting me up like this, now you’re worried about me?” Elessia answered Isidora through their mental link as they started walking toward the crowded heart of the festival.
Isidora decided not to push her anymore and went ahead with her mate.
She was curious too, wanting to see all the beautiful things the capital had to offer.

“You look beautiful tonight. Thank you for agreeing to come with me…”
Cassian leaned down to whisper in her ear, feeling Elessia shiver and enjoying her scent.
He wasn’t lying.
Seeing her dressed up like this, looking so much more like herself again, only made him fall for her harder.
“Thank you…”
Ele lowered her head shyly. She wasn’t used to being courted by a male, much less one of such high birth.
Then lights suddenly exploded across the sky, followed by a roar of excited cheers.
Fireworks.
Lanterns hanging overhead.
Music filling the main square.
Stalls everywhere, packed with things she’d never tasted or even seen before.
She slowly began to relax around Cassian.
And he couldn’t stop watching that innocent smile spread across her face every time something amazed her.
Isidora was exactly the same.
She stood in front of one of the stalls, looking over all the jewelry, but nothing really caught her eye.
“We can buy all of it.”
Vhaelor’s voice rumbled beside her ear.
He was stuck to her like glue, one arm around her waist, happily letting her drag him wherever she wanted to

Seeing her this happy was reward enough for him.
He’d had the entire festival arranged just for her and Elessia.
“Mmm… I don’t know. I actually wanted something else…”

Isidora was really looking for something meant for a couple. Matching bracelets, maybe. Some little thing she could give the King.
“Let’s just go.”
“Yes, you should. If you can’t afford anything, at least get out of the way.”
Isidora turned sharply at the sound of a haughty woman glaring at her.
She was well dressed, but she didn’t look all that noble herself.
Seeing how simply Isidora and Vhaelor were dressed, she’d clearly mistaken them for some poor couple trying to show off.
“Excuse me? And how exactly do you know I can’t afford anything?”
Isidora lifted her chin too.
Behind her, she could already feel Blaze’s temper rising as he stared at the male standing beside the little snob.
“It’s obvious. Now move. You’re wasting my time.”
The woman tried to shove her, but Isidora caught her by the hand.
She barely used any strength.
She hadn’t even let a trace of her Estingia aura out, but the woman sensed the danger immediately.
“Wait. Don’t get impatient…” Isidora said through clenched teeth.
Then she suddenly let go.
The girl clutched her fingers, looking like she wanted to cry.
Fuck, where did that strength come from?
“What’s the most expensive piece you have?”
