The Last Lycan King Is My Slave novel Chapter 47

Chapter 47

ISIDORA

As if I hadn’t already done enough ridiculous things in front of this man, I threw myself onto the bed, grabbed the blanket, and squeezed my eyes shut, pretending to be asleep.

Yeah, and who the hell was supposed to believe that?

My heartbeat was pounding in my ears, and I was sure I was redder than a monkey’s ass.

Still, I’d rather die than answer him or admit I’d been watching.

Then, out of nowhere, I heard something strange and unfairly beautiful in the darkness… a low, magnetic laugh, deep and/ masculine, rumbling through the room for a few seconds.

Like an idiot, I smiled the second I heard it. Blessed Goddess … a man like Blaze never should’ve been put next to a fool like

“Rest, my Lady. You have to become the most powerful Estingia…” He said it in a strangely sincere burst of encouragement then added, “Or you’ll never measure up to a slave as magnificent as me.”

I twisted my mouth at that shameless bit of self-praise. Was he seriously that full of himself? Wait … Blaze knows how to joke?

He went quiet after that, and so did I, though all I could think about was how this male’s audacity kept growing by the day.

In the end, I fell asleep without even worrying that he was no longer tied up and could kill me in the middle of the night … or maybe escape.

Something inside me told me I was safe with him.

Besides, the bond I’d created with my seal on his body gave me a certain amount of control over Blaze.

I’d heard that once they advanced far enough, the older Dark Estingias could even kill a slave through the seal… or find them if they escaped.

With all that nonsense running through my head, I closed my eyes and didn’t open them again until sunlight was pushing through the bed curtains.

I stretched, then immediately looked toward the spot where Blaze had been sleeping… he wasn’t there.

But this time, I didn’t panic like I had before. I could hear water running in the bathroom.

I pushed back the blanket and checked my body… I always woke with this strange feeling, like my skin had been left a little sensitive, as if it had been touched for hours.

Still, there were no strange marks. Everything was where it should, be… including my head, which was the most important thing.

I got up and went to make the bed, but just then, someone knocked at the bedroom door.

“Come in …” From the shadow under the door and the faint smell of food, I assumed it was a maid bringing breakfast.

What I didn’t expect was for Elessia to walk in pushing the cart.

“Ele … why are you already up? You’re supposed to be resting.” I went straight to her and noticed she was wearing her old winter dress.
