The Last Time I Cried Your Name novel Chapter 510

Watching the blood drain completely from Livia's face, Galen stared at her with a morbid fascination, his thumb sliding down her cheek to caress her soft lower lip.

"Let me guess what he told you on the phone."

The deeper the hatred burned in Livia's eyes, the wider Galen's smirk grew.

"Did he say he'd rather die than be separated from you? That he's going to call the cops and find a way to take you far away from here?"

With every word he spoke, Livia's lips grew paler. She didn't utter a single syllable, but her expression confirmed everything.

Galen let out a dark chuckle. "Looks like I hit the nail on the head."

His thumb pressed down on her lower lip, but she kept her mouth clamped shut. Her teeth were digging so deeply into the inside of her lip that it was turning stark white. He had no doubt she was seconds away from drawing her own blood.

Galen sighed, abruptly dropped his hand, and slammed his mouth over hers in a bruising kiss.

"Mmph!" Livia hadn't expected him to do this out in the open. Her body went rigid before she started thrashing wildly.

Even though it was late, there were still plenty of researchers working late in the labs. The corridor was empty for now as everyone was analyzing data inside, but anyone could walk out at any second.

Everyone at the institute knew she was the eldest daughter of the Carter Family and Galen's older sister. She had been fiercely protected by the family her entire life. Very few in Cabinda's elite circles knew she was adopted, and the general public had no idea they weren't blood relatives.

How many years had it been? How many years had Galen suffocated her, pinning her in the darkest corners and dragging her down into the mud?

A wave of burning humiliation and rage surged through her. The second his tongue pushed past her lips, she bit down viciously.

"Ah!" Galen hissed in pain and jerked back.

*Smack!*
