"Are you a complete bastard?"
Franco didn't even have to guess what twisted method Galen had used to land her in a hospital bed.
Galen ignored the insult. He let out a dark chuckle. "So what if I am? I've already sent men to track her down. I can't exactly tie my parents up and torture Livia's location out of them, but they can't stop me. The second I find her, I'm marrying her. And if I can't find her..."
He paused, his brow furrowing. His lips were still curved in a smirk, but his eyes grew red.
"If I can't find her, then one day when I'm too old to keep looking, I'll livestream my suicide to the entire world. I'll make Livia watch me die right in front of her."
He was a lunatic. Absolutely out of his mind!
Jay stood silently to the side. Franco had once mentioned that Galen was crazier than him. Jay had never seen this unhinged side of the man, but now he realized it wasn't just crazy—it was pathological.
Eleven years of toxic entanglement, built on top of a boy's relentless teenage obsession. After nearly two decades, Livia Carter had grown into the very fabric of his heart. Ripping her away was a fatal blow.
Franco sat on the sofa, offering no commentary on Galen's deranged declaration.
Because, honestly, he didn't see a problem with it.
His only disagreement was the global livestream. Franco wouldn't want an audience.
"Do you need me to lend you some men to search?" Franco asked, lighting a cigarette.
Galen was the type to go pale when drunk. With his bloodshot eyes, he looked like a starved vampire who hadn't fed in days.
"No need."
If Petty found out Franco had sent men abroad, she might think he was looking for her, and that would just cause another bitter fallout.
