**Paige’s POV **
For a heartbeat, I forget how to breathe. The faint glow işn’t fading. It’s sinking into him.
Parker’s skin is warm, and the symbol over his heart is unmistakable. It’s a delicate pattern of gold, two shapes intertwining as if they were always meant to fit together.
“Oh god,” I whisper, pulling back. “Parker, I didn’t mean..”
“Paige,” he says gently, catching my hand before I can snatch it away. His fingers curl around mine. “It’s okay.”
“I marked you, and I didn’t even know I could do that. I didn’t even know what I was doing.”
“You didn’t hurt me.”
“That’s not…” I swallow. “Parker… I just put something on you that you didn’t choose.”
“I did choose it.” His voice is so soft I almost miss the tremor beneath it. “I chose you.”
The words hit something deep inside me, something that has been pulled tight all day, stretched thin with fear and guilt and too much power humming under my skin, and it breaks.
I lean in, my forehead pressing against his, and my breath shaky against his mouth. His hand comes up to cradle theback of my neck, warm and steady, and something in me melts so fast it terrifies me.
His lips press against mine, and my whole body shivers.
The kiss deepens gently, coaxing me closer until I’m half on top of him, my hand splayed again over the new mark.
His breath catches when my fingertips trace the glowing outline.
“You feel that?” he whispers.
“Yes,” I breathe.
“Good. Because it’s yours, ‘m yours.”
His hands slide slowly down my sides, and heat curls low in my stomach, warm, steady, and overwhelming.
“Parker…”
“I’ve got you,” he murmurs into my skin as he kisses down the curve of my jaw. “Let me show you.”
The panic from moments ago turns into something else.
Something hungry and tender. Something that pulls me toward him.
I shift closer, brushing my leg against his, and his breath stutters. The reaction sends a warm pulse through me, not power or the Lunarae glow. Just want, and he feels it.
He grips my waist, guiding me fully on top of him with such gentleness that I fall in love with him all over again. ” Come here,” he hums.I do, and the moment my body aligns with his, the bond hums between us, warm and needy.
In a move that he makes look effortless, he rolls us, so his body is over mine. My hands fist in the sheets as he kisses a path along my neck.
I tilt my head, giving him more access. Inviting him closer, letting all my worries bleed into something hotter.
“Parker…” My voice catches when he presses his body to mine, aligning us together. “l… I need..”
He lifts his head, brushing his nose against mine.
“Tell me,” he breathes.
I swallow, my heart pounding
“I need you to stay with me. Keep me here, in this moment.”
His answering smile is slow and devastating.
“I can do that,” he whispers. “For as long as you need.”
His hands slide over me again tenderly, and the room grows warmer, the air thicker, the bond humming louder.
The rest of the world fades.
One of his hands trails lower, stopping at my waistband, and a small, involuntary sound escapes my throat.
He swallows it with his mouth, kissing me deeper. Myfingers slide up the hard lines of his back, pulling him closer, needing the contact as much as I need air.
The mark over his heart shimmers softly between us, barely noticeable now.
“Paige…” he breathes against my lips. “You have no idea what you do to me. Tell me if you want me to stop.
“I don’t,” I breathe.
His hand moves under the hem of my t-shirt, his fingers spreading over the soft skin of my stomach. The touch is barely there, but it lights my nerves on fire. I arch into him without meaning to, and he sucks in a breath.
“Paige,” he breathes, “I am yours. Completely. You can take anything from me. As much as you want. There is nothing you could ask for that I wouldn’t give you.”
I grip his shirt tighter. “Right now, all I want is you.”
That’s all he iteeds. His hand skims up my side, his thumb grazing the underside of my breast, and my entire body answers.
His eyes search mine, dark with something that looks dangerously close to losing control.
“Let me take you apart,” he whispers. “I’ll put you back together in the morning.”
My whole body trembles.
I do, or maybe my body does it on its own, and he groans softly, the sound low and gravelly and barely held together.
“Paige… you’re going to undo me.”
He slows his rhythm a little as his hand moves with purpose over my body, slow but confident, exploring, teasing, urging my body to respond to him the way he knows it will.
The mark on his chest pulses, warm and bright, syncing with the pounding of my heart. The glow reflecting on his skin makes him look almost unreal. He looks ethereal and wild all at once.My hips lift into him on instinct, meeting him thrust for thrust, matching the tempo he sets.
He groans, an uncontrolled, hungry sound, and presses his forehead to my shoulder like he needs a second to compose himself.
“Paige, you have no idea how good you feel, how beautiful you look,” he whispers. “I could spend the rest of my life like this with you.”
I lose myself to the pleasure and the bond pulsing between us as we move together, urging the tension higher, every action taking a step closer to oblivion.
His lips find my jaw, my throat, the spot on my neck that makes my whole body arch beneath him in a trembling rush.
“Paige..” he gasps against my skin. “I’m not going anywhere. I’m right here. I’ve got you.”
The sensation overwhelms me, and every nerve in my body sparks with ecstasy. My fingers clutch at his shoulders, nails dragging lightly down his back. The sound he makes, a half groan, half plea, sends another surge of heat straight through me.
He presses closer, deeper, his breathing becoming uneven. My back arches, and Parker pulls back just enough to see my face, like he wants to watch every second of what he’s doing to me.
“Look at you,” he whispers, voice cracking. “You’re… youre incredible.”
I can’t even focus. Every part of me feels alive, waiting for something I can’t put words to.
“That’s it,” he rasps. “Don’t hold back, not with me. Let it all out.”
My hands slide into his hair, pulling him down for another kiss, harder this time, and he groans into my mouth, moving against me with a hunger he can’t mask anymore.
His hand tightens on my thigh, guiding me harder into him, deeper, making sparks flash through my whole body.
The mark on his chest flares brighter.
“Parker…” My voice breaks on his name as the pressure coils tight inside me, heat rushing up my spine in a trembling, breathless wave and then everything breaks.
I gasp as my body arches beneath him, trembling uncontrollably as the wave crashes through me, stealing my breath, my thoughts, everything except the feeling of him holding me through it.
Parker groans softly, his hips jerking as he spills into me.
I cling to him, burying my face in his shoulder as the last tremors roll through me.
His forehead rests against mine, his chest rising and falling fast but controlled. The glow over his heartgradually softens, fading into a faint shimmer that settles beneath his skin like it belongs there. Like it always did.
