The Luna Queen's Rebirth (Ellie and Dominic) novel Chapter 355

Chapter 355

Dominic’s POV

I drove back to the pack house with the box of jewelry sitting in the passenger seat. Every time I glanced at it, my anger grew larger and larger until it felt like this enormous, physical thing looming over my shoulder blotting out the mirrors, turning the very air dark around me.

How long had Vivian been doing this? How many lies had she told? How many times had I believed her over Ellie?

My hands tightened on the steering wheel. I could feel my wolf snarling beneath my skin, demanding blood. Demanding justice. Demanding to do exactly what I should have done a long time ago, before Ellie left, before her mother died, before… all of it.

When I pulled up to the house, Vivian was in the garden. She was kneeling beside the flower beds, pulling weeds and humming to herself like she didn’t have a care in the world.

I grabbed the box and got out of the car. The door slammed shut behind me, and Vivian looked up.

“Dominic,” she said, standing and brushing the dirt off her knees. “You’re back early. I wasn’t expecting-” “Inside,” I said. “Now.”

Her smile faltered. “What’s wrong?”

“Inside.”

She followed me into the house. I didn’t stop until we were in my office. I set the box down on my desk and turned to face her.

“What’s going on?” she asked.

I opened the box and gestured to the jewelry inside. “Recognize any of this?”

She stepped closer and looked down at the contents. Her face went pale.

“Where did you get that?” she whispered.

“Gareth’s camp,” I said. “I found it hidden away in the longhouse. Care to explain why your jewelry was there?”

Vivian opened her mouth, then closed it. She shook her head. “I don’t know. He must have stolen it.”

“Really?” I pulled the ruby necklace from my pocket and held it up. “Because this rogue sitting in the cells said you gave it to him. Payment for kidnapping Abigail.”

Her eyes went wide. “That’s not true.”

“Abigail corroborated his story. She said you came to the camp. She saw you give them payment. She heard you tell them to keep her away from the pack.”

Well, she’s lying,” Vivian insisted. “Dominic, you have to believe me. I would never-

})

“I know what you did,” I snapped. “You paid Gareth to kidnap Ellie. You paid those rogues to take Abigail. You’ve been manipulating me this entire time, and I was too stupid to see it.”

“That’s not true,” Vivian said. Tears were streaming down her face now. “I didn’t do any of that. I swear.”
