The Luna Queen's Rebirth (Ellie and Dominic) novel Chapter 409

I would up choosing a deep green color for the skirt and jacket, the cuffs and collar trimmed in gray fur, the back of it embroidered in silver thread for the scene. It looked perfect. She helped me into it and tugged it square across my shoulders, and even half-pinned and unfinished, it was the most beautiful thing I’d ever put on.

Amelia smiled when I came out of the fitting room and showed her the prototype. “The Luna will be thrilled when she sees you in this.”

“The Luna?” I asked.

Amelia blinked at me. “Your father’s wife.” Her eyes went wide when she saw the look on my face. “Oh. You didn’t know.”

“He didn’t mention a wife,” I said.

“Stephanie,” she said. “They got married… Well. How long ago was it, Marta?”

“Before you were born,” the seamstress replied curtly around a mouthful of pins. 1

Amelia nodded. “I suppose you don’t know you have siblings, too. Three boys.”

“Half-siblings,” Marta corrected.

Siblings. I had three half-siblings, a whole house full of people who shared my father and my blood, somewhere up that mountain, and I hadn’t known they existed thirty seconds ago.

“Where are they now?” I asked. “I haven’t seen any of them.”

“They went south with the Beta’s family before you got here. Pack business, something with the Alpha King. Stephanie went along to represent your father, since his leg makes the long roads hard on him.” She tucked a stray hair behind her ear. “They’re due back this morning. You’ll probably get to meet them at the banquet.”

This morning. I’d be meeting a stepmother and three siblings by tonight. It was still a lot to process.
