The Lycan Prince’s Wolfless Slave (Academy Romance) novel Chapter 168

Chapter 168

Lyra

Again! Keep your feet planted! Remember, you fight with your inner strength, not brute force!

I pace between two rows of younger pack members, about twenty of them in total. None of them have their wolves yet, so their movements are still a bit clumsy, but they’re eager. I watch as two boys spar, one trying to swing a heavy, uncontrolled punch. I sted

in, blocking his arm with a quick flick of my wrist and pushing him back.

You’re relying on your muscles too much, Mark.I tell him, keeping my voice steady. If you meet someone twice your size, brute

force will fail you. You have to find the strength inside. Use your core. Breathe.

They nod and go back to it. The sound of punches and grunts fills the training field. It’s been three days since I came home, and

two nights ago, my father actually approved me to help the younger ones train. Something only the most powerful werewolves are

allowed to do.

I still can’t quite believe it. I stand there for a moment as I watch them, and think about how much has shifted in such a short time.

On a normal day, my return to Valeria would have meant a pile of chores, a sore back from scrubbing floors, undeserved

punishments and a constant stream of insults from anyone who saw me

Instead, I’m making friends. People who used to look down on me or walk past me like I was invisible are now trying to stir up

conversations with me out of the blue. They include me in their groups when I’m walking through the pack house. My father, Alpha

Rafa talks to me like I’m actually an important part of this pack. Daisy has stopped her bullying, and even Luna Sarahthough I

know she still hates mehas been avoiding me completely.

No chores. No insults. I’m finally being treated like the Alpha’s daughter.

Remember when I told you, right?Wyndra’s voice rings in my mind. I promised you that someday things would be better. I told you

that you would be loved and respected. And look at you now, Lyra. It’s happening.

You were right,I answer her silently. Thank you, Wyndra. I don’t think any of this would have happened without you helping

and pushing me forward. Making me not give up.

We’re a team, little fox. We’re just getting started.

A sudden weight on my head breaks my focus. Someone ruffles my hair from behind, messing up my ponytail.

Hey there, bug. You’re doing a great job with them.

I turn around, smoothing my hair back, and see Uncle Cassian standing there with a wide grin. He’s one of the few people who has

always been kind to me, even when things were at their worst.

Thanks, Uncle Cassian,I say, smiling back. How have you been?

Chapter 168

I’m fine, I’m fine,he says, waving a hand dismissively. But I’d much rather talk about you. How was Krypton Academy? I want to

hear everything.

I feel a bit shy as I look down at my boots. It was fine. Nothing special, really. Just a lot of training and classes.

Uncle Cassian laughs heartily, eyeing me. Nothing special? That’s not what I’m seeing on social media, bug. From what I see, a fot

has happened with you, my dear girl.

My face flushes immediately. I know exactly what he’s talking about. There have been rumors and photos circulating since that last

wolf event and the fire.

He leans in closer, his eyes twinkling with mischief. So, come on, tell your favorite uncle. Who is it? Is it the crown prince Kai, or

that other prince, Roman? The internet seems to think you’ve got them both wrapped around your finger.

Uncle, stop!I cry, covering my face with my hands. Why am I feeling extremely embarrassed? It’s not like I did anything wrong.
