The Mad Guardian novel Chapter 1

Chapter 1: Wedding Night

Late summer, the night was slightly cool!

In a luxurious villa in Yanbei City.

A young man sat on the sofa, his eyes bright with a sharp gleam like a blade flashing occasionally, playing with a coin in his hand, the coin seemed lively as it danced on his fingertips.

His name was Jiang Chuan, and ten years ago his grandfather had thrown him into Africa’s famous Devil’s Training Camp. From that day on, he fought to survive every day and eventually lived through it, while all the other trainees who entered the camp with him perished without exception.

Over the next ten years, the name King Jiang echoed across the world, causing countless powerful figures to tremble.

Jiang Chuan leaned lazily on the sofa, his gaze resting steadily in the direction of the bathroom, where through a haze he could make out a captivating silhouette.

Soon, the sound of water gradually subsided, and the bathroom door opened.

A woman of breathtaking beauty walked out of the bathroom.

Her name was Qiu Qianyu, Jiang Chuan’s newlywed wife.

At this moment, she was wearing slippers, tightly wrapped in a bathrobe, her voluptuous figure with exquisite curves perfectly displayed.

However, her cold face carried an icy allure that no man could resist.

As soon as Qiu Qianyu came out of the bathroom, she saw Jiang Chuan looking at her with eyes almost filled with lustful intent. Instantly, her willow-like eyebrows knitted in displeasure, her gaze carrying a tinge of disgust. She snorted coldly and, as if ignoring Jiang Chuan, walked straight toward the second floor.

When Qiu Qianyu reached the staircase, she suddenly stopped and said coldly without turning her head, “Jiang Chuan, we need to talk later.”

Indifference…

Qiu Qianyu’s attitude was very cold, treating Jiang Chuan not even as an ordinary person, let alone as her newlywed husband, and her indifference carried a sense of rejection.

Jiang Chuan frowned slightly, gave her a casual glance, and responded nonchalantly, “Okay!”

Ten minutes later.

Jiang Chuan appeared in the bedroom on the second floor, where Qiu Qianyu was lying on the bed.

He glanced at her briefly before withdrawing his gaze.

Then he casually walked into the bedroom, flopped onto the sofa, loosened his collar, and said, “So, what do you want to talk about?!”

Qiu Qianyu frowned delicately, speaking calmly, “I want to talk about our relationship.”

Pfft…

Upon hearing this, Jiang Chuan laughed, staring at the icy face of Qiu Qianyu, “What’s there to talk about our relationship? Isn’t it obvious? You’re my wife, I’m your husband!”

Qiu Qianyu’s eyebrows furrowed immediately, her icy expression showing clear resistance, clearly displeased with Jiang Chuan’s ‘husband, wife’ remarks.

She took a deep breath and said, “Although we have indeed married and got our license, that’s not wrong. In name, we are indeed a couple. However, you should know, I don’t like you, or even have any feelings for you!”

“And then?” Jiang Chuan relaxed on the sofa, not even lifting an eyelid.

“I hope we can be like strangers, you live your life, I’ll live mine, without interference!” Qiu Qianyu said coldly, her eyes devoid of any emotion as she spoke, “You can stay here, but you cannot live with me!”

“No problem!” Jiang Chuan nodded readily.

Qiu Qianyu stared at Jiang Chuan, and seeing how readily he agreed, a hint of surprise flickered in her icy pupils.

She had expected Jiang Chuan to be angry, to lose his temper!

Yet at this moment, she saw no trace of anger on Jiang Chuan’s face, just calmness, pure calmness.

After a short pause, Qiu Qianyu continued, “Of course, I hope even more that you can take the initiative to propose a divorce from me. It would be better for both of us.”

“Divorce?” Jiang Chuan smirked, shrugged, and said, “I have no issue with that, but can you get past your parents?”

Qiu Qianyu froze, her icy eyes fixed on Jiang Chuan, seemingly trying to discern something from his eyes. But, she was disappointed; there was nothing in Jiang Chuan’s eyes but calmness.
