On the way back, inside the Ferrari, it was unusually quiet.
Qiu Qianyu and Wang Shao Yi sat opposite each other in silence, but their eyes were simultaneously fixed on Jiang Chuan. Qiu Qianyu’s beautiful eyes were cold, with an undisguisable look of disgust in her pupils.
Wang Shao Yi’s face was gloomy, his eyes shadowed.
Through the rearview mirror, Jiang Chuan took in their expressions and glances, but he didn’t care, silently driving the car, as everything transformed into a silent sigh within his heart.
This world was different from the one he once belonged to. Since he didn’t fit in here, at worst, he could always return to his own world.
A world filled with slaughter and bloodshed.
Sometimes, leaving isn’t necessarily a bad choice.
An hour later, the Ferrari stopped in front of the villa.
Jiang Chuan pushed open the door and got out. Qiu Qianyu also stepped out of the car, turning to Wang Shao Yi inside, saying, “Young Master Wang, thank you so much for today. If it wasn’t for your help in attracting the venture capital, I wouldn’t know what to do. If you ever need my assistance in the future, I’ll do everything I can.”
“Qianyu, you make it sound so formal. Your matters are my matters too; there’s no need to be so polite.” Wang Shao Yi concealed all his resentment and gloom in his eyes, smiling gentlemanly.
“Thank you.” Qiu Qianyu thanked him again, then stepped into the villa.
Jiang Chuan followed closely behind.
After Jiang Chuan and Qiu Qianyu left, Wang Shao Yi’s eyes immediately darkened frighteningly, a sinister expression flashed across his face, and he gritted his teeth, saying, “Dare to ruin my plans, I’ll make your life worse than death!”
…
Back at the villa, Jiang Chuan lazily leaned on the sofa, pulled out a cigarette, lit it, and smoked silently, while Qiu Qianyu headed straight to the second floor.
It seemed as if Jiang Chuan was just a puff of air, completely ignored, with no interaction whatsoever.
To this, Jiang Chuan showed no dissatisfaction; he was well aware that Qiu Qianyu didn’t like him, and perhaps even had some disgust for him. Especially after today’s misunderstanding, it would be surprising if she showed any kindness.
