The Man in Power After Being Married into Her Family novel Chapter 5631

Lord Acker could not help but burst into tears as he looked at Charlie, whose figure had become completely blurred in his vision. He sobbed as he asked emotionally, “Charlie, is it really you?”

His three uncles and aunt were also in tears by now. They would never have dreamt that Charlie, whom they had searched all over for twenty years, would voluntarily appear before them. What was even more unimaginable was that the Charlie they had been looking for over the past two decades turned out to be the benefactor who saved the Ackers some time ago!

Charlie had extremely complex emotions when he saw the Acker family members who were in tears. He naturally thought of the Ackers as his relatives, and blood was thicker than water. This was the reason why he had saved the Ackers from peril repeatedly.

However, Charlie harbored unforgivable resentment toward the Ackers, just like he did toward the Wades.

He resented the Wades because the Wades had forced his parents to leave Eastcliff for their own interests, and this subsequently led to his parents’ tragic demise in Aurous Hill

He resented the Ackers because they had always looked down on his father, from the beginning to the end. When the Wades drove his parents away, the Ackers had never extended a helping hand to them.

Charlie had reconciled with the Wades because Jeremiah had reflected on his past mistakes and contemplated sacrificing himself to defend Charlie’s parents’ dignity and graves when Porter attacked Mount Wintry.

However, his feelings for the Ackers had yet to be resolved.

Mr. Chardon pushed Merlin aside, then turned around completely and looked at Charlie. He sneered and said mockingly, “It turns out that you’re Curtis Wade’s son. No wonder you look so much like him. I let you escape twenty years ago, but unexpectedly, you would actually come back on your own!”

Charlie’s eyes instantly turned bloodshot, and he asked in a cold voice, “Were you the one who killed my parents?”

“That’s right!” Mr. Chardon declared proudly, “Twenty years ago, I was ordered to assassinate Curtis Wade’s family of three. Unfortunately, that cunning old fox, Curtis, foresaw a calamity and had someone take you away in advance!”

As he spoke, Mr. Chardon sneered, “But it is truly fated. In addition to being ordered to annihilate the Ackers today, I’ve also been ordered to wait for you to appear and kill you as well. I thought that this move might not work, but I didn’t expect that you would barge in forcefully instead! In that case, you can just die with your grandparents’ family today!”

Charlie’s eyes were filled with a strong killing intent. He stared at Mr. Chardon and said coldly, “For the past twenty years, I have been thinking about avenging my parents every day. I’ve finally found you after waiting for twenty years! Just wait in hell after you die, because I will dismember your British Lord into pieces when I find him, and I will send him to hell to meet you then!”

Charlie looked at him, then glanced at the Acker family members who were crying with bloodshot eyes, and said calmly, “Yes, it was me.”

Mr. Chardon recalled Merlin’s words from earlier, and he asked Charlie, “So, you were the one who saved Vera Lavor in Northern Europe as well?”

“That’s right.” Charlie said with a smile, “Your British Lord is probably very furious because you all failed to capture Vera, right?”

Mr. Chardon clenched his teeth and questioned, “Young lad, where is Vera Lavor’s ring?!”

Charlie smiled, took off the glove on his right hand, and slowly raised his middle finger toward Mr. Chardon. The ring that Vera gave him stood out clearly on this middle finger.

Charlie then looked at Mr. Chardon and asked curiously, “Lackey, are you talking about this?”
