Charlie thought, ‘What help do I need to change clothes for? I'm not disabled.’
However, he still smiled and said, “Okay, I'll go up first.”
Vera’s bedroom was upstairs.
The same faint fragrance as Vera’s permeated the room, making him feel slightly dizzy.
Charlie subconsciously recalled the experience of being helped onto the bed by Vera when he was seriously injured, and he could not help but feel a strange sensation in his heart. However, he didn't dare to think too much and quickly took out the clothes Vera had prepared for him to change into.
As he took out the clothes, he realized that Vera had prepared matching couple outfits for them. The clothes in Charlie's hands were an oversized Gucci T-shirt, classic LV-printed shorts, and the same Hermes slippers. It seemed that Vera wanted them to disguise themselves as a couple when they went to Yorkshire Hill.
Charlie didn't think much about it. A man and a woman going out together disguised as a couple seemed more reasonable. They were going to meet Charlie's currently known strongest opponent, Fleur, so they naturally couldn't afford to be careless. The more cautious they were, the safer they would be. So, Charlie immediately changed into the clothes and went downstairs.
When Vera saw Charlie coming down the stairs, she smiled brightly out of happiness.
Although Charlie was already twenty-eight years old, with the boost of Reiki, he looked like a young man in his early twenties. Coupled with this relatively trendy outfit, perhaps no one would question or doubt that he was a college student.
The more Vera looked at Charlie, the more joyful she felt. She always felt that when the two of them wore matching outfits, there was a kind of indescribable harmony in everything.
Charlie came to Vera and saw her blushing, so he curiously asked, “Miss Lavor, did you prepare these clothes or did Mr. Carrick prepare them?”
