Charlie immediately pointed at the man and scolded, "What's wrong with you? Don't you understand my command?!"
The man desperately shook his head and whimpered, "I-I'm sorry, sir. I-I can't tell left from right..."
"You can't tell left from right? I see..." Charlie smiled slightly. "It's okay. I can help you with that."
With that, Charlie grabbed the man's right hand, and with a little force on his thumb, broke the latter’s right wrist single-handedly like breaking a pencil.
In contrast to the man's agonized wail, Charlie reprimanded him indifferently, "Remember, this is the damned right! I believe you can tell left from right from now on."
Charlie's action gave the inmates goosebumps, and then they heard Charlie shout, "Turn left!"
The inmates quickly turned around. The guy who had just broken his right wrist turned in the correct direction this time.
Nodding in satisfaction, Charlie pointed to the man on the far left and ordered, "Starting with you. Tell me your name, where you are from, what crime you committed, how long you have been here, and how much is left of your sentence."
The man prompted, "S-Sir! M-My name is Nguyen Minh, a Vietnamese. I have been here for one year for robbery, and I have six years left..."
"Okay." Charlie nodded. "Next!"
"M-My name is Hank, an American. I've been here for six months for fraud, and I have three years left..."
The inmates introduced themselves one by one.
