The Man in Power After Being Married into Her Family novel Chapter 6029

The reception room at Brooklyn Prison was not in the office area or the prison area but in a transitional area between the two.

Because of its location, the reception room was not far from the prison area. Once they exited the iron gate, they walked a distance along a corridor and arrived at the reception rooms.

Nonetheless, the reception rooms at Brooklyn Prison were divided into different categories.

First was the regular reception room, which was used by all inmates. There were dozens of tables in the room, and the inmates would meet their families and lawyers there. It was the reception room with the least privacy as several guards would be watching, and many prisoners would meet their visitors at the same time. Physical contact and exchange of objects were strictly prohibited.

Those with slightly special identities could get a relatively small private reception room which guaranteed a certain level of privacy. There were no other prisoners and visitors in the room, and only one prison guard was watching them.

However, there was a more sophisticated reception room which had not only a sofa and a TV but also some snacks and drinks. Moreover, the room was soundproof and had no surveillance.

Most importantly, the guards did not come in to interfere when meetings were held here. Some items carried by visitors could be given to the prisoners as long as they passed through the prison security check. It was completely unrestricted to use this room as a conjugal visit.

Each time, Bruce would meet Gustavo in the exclusive reception room to ensure absolute privacy.

Charlie could sense that someone was sitting inside the room when he and Gustavo were brought to the door.

As soon as the guard opened the door, they saw a man in a suit and gold-rimmed glasses sitting on the sofa with his legs crossed and a cigar in his hand. He looked cultured and exhibited manners as well as intellectual qualities.
