It would be helpful if Zekeiah could stay. Mr. Zorro figured that he would need Zekeiah's help for his retreat as well as a safe house if he succeeded.
Therefore Mr. Zorro did not want Zekeiah to leave.
However, it was not the time to be stubborn.
He could clearly see the situation they were in and distinguish the importance of the matter.
First of all, he could not leave.
One, he was the only one who was able to take Biden away from the FBI.
Second, he did not want Zekeiah to stay and challenge the FBI's request.
If they truly attracted the FBI's attention and the FBI forced them to change rooms, they would be in a difficult position. Taking action directly wouldn't have a high chance of success, but if they did move to a different floor, there might be no opportunity to act at all.
So, after weighing the pros and cons, Mr. Zorro decided to let Zekeiah go first to avoid the FBI's unwanted attention.
Zekeiah was very upset when he heard Mr. Zorro's words, but he knew that he should not cause any more problems in this situation.
After all, the FBI was only a few rooms away. They would not be able to complete the mission if they attracted the FBI's attention, and Fleur would not be happy about it.
Hence, he nodded unwillingly and mumbled, "Okay, I'll go back first. Please take good care of him. Call me if there's anything."
After Charlie exited the room, he happened to see Zekeiah walking to the elevator alone, so he picked up his speed to follow him.
When the elevator door opened and Zekeiah stepped into it, Charlie followed him inside.
Noticing Charlie following him, Zekeiah snorted furiously, pulled his collar, and asked sternly, "Why did you follow me? Who do you think you are to be in the same elevator with me? Get out!"
With a flattering smile, Charlie said, "Please don't be angry. The request is from the FBI. Honestly, they don't do much all day other than causing scandals here and there. Think about it, a big shot like you is the most distinguished guest in the hospital. I wouldn't have dared to offend you if it weren't for the FBI's pestering."
Charlie's flattery compliments smoothed Zekeiah's ruffled feathers.
