Watching her act so calm and collected only fueled Adrian's absolute fury.

"Didn't we agree to an amicable split? You already signed the papers, and the money was going to hit your account in full. Now you're going back on your word and pulling this stunt. Jocelyn, are you trying to ruin me?"

"You're being a bit dramatic. I never wanted to ruin you; I just want a divorce."

"I already agreed to the divorce!" Adrian smashed his fist onto the table.

Jocelyn lifted her eyelids.

"This is my house. You break it, you buy it. Is this really the best you can do, Adrian? Throwing a temper tantrum and smashing things the second something doesn't go your way?"
