The Man Who Waited vs. The Man Who Wasted novel Chapter 473

Not long after, Julian received a call from Gideon Shaw.

"I've tapped into Adrian's phone. Jocelyn... has been kidnapped."

Julian's expression turned instantly lethal.

"Keep tracking his location."

Gideon truly was the brilliant talent Jocelyn had claimed him to be.

"Don't worry! I'll report his every move to you."

"Yeah."

Gideon paused for a second on the line.

"Don't forget, she's Storm. She's tough. She won't die easily."

Ethan paced the room, practically vibrating with anxiety.

"Sir, is Miss Evans going to be okay?"

"Sir, will the kidnappers hurt her?"

"Sir, why would anyone target my goddess?"

"Sir, what if they kill her before they even get the money?"

"Sir, what if they get the money and kill her anyway?"

"Sir..."

"Ethan," Julian commanded, his voice eerily calm, his eyes firmly shut. "Sit down. Be quiet."

But Ethan couldn't stay still.

"I can't, sir. I'm just losing my mind here."

Julian asked softly, "Does panicking help?"

If panicking worked, he would be tearing the city apart right now.

Sarah called.

"Mr. Vance, what's the situation?"

Julian answered her with terrifying composure.

"She was kidnapped. They're demanding a ransom."

A cold sweat broke out over Sarah's entire body.

"Oh my god. What do we do?"

Julian found himself comforting her.

"For now, they want money. They won't hurt her yet."

But if it dragged on for too long, all bets were off.

Sarah broke down crying.

"I'm so sorry, I'm so, so sorry. She came to see me so late at night, and I didn't look out for her. Mr. Vance, I'm truly sorry."

She knew exactly how much Jocelyn meant to him.

Her apology wasn't out of fear of his wrath.
