The Man Who Waited vs. The Man Who Wasted novel Chapter 476

Todd stepped forward and dropped a heavy duffel bag onto the concrete floor.

"If you don't believe it, unzip it and look for yourself."

Jocelyn was utterly stunned.

Was this really Adrian?

The kidnapper was equally suspicious.

He was here already?

And he was actually paying?

"You're not trying to screw me over, are you? This better not be fake cash."

Adrian let out a disdainful scoff.

"Do you have any idea who I am?"

Jocelyn groaned internally. *Here we go again.*

"I am Adrian Lowell, head of the Lowell family. Our businesses blanket this entire city, and our annual profits are a number your brain can't even process. Do you really think I care about a measly five million?"

The kidnapper muttered under his breath.

"Damn, did I ask for too little?"

Jocelyn suddenly found the guy almost endearing.

It was a shame he chose such a destructive path in life.

Adrian snapped, "Cut the bullshit! Take the money and hand her over."

The man had never seen this much money in his entire life. The sheer reality of it made him deeply paranoid.

"You swear you're not playing me? The second I step away from her, you'll just take the money and the girl back."

Adrian was starting to look at him with sheer contempt.

"Why the hell would Caleb Preston send an idiot like you? Did he run out of actual professionals?"

The man bristled instantly.

"Who are you calling an idiot! Let me tell you something, rich boy, I kill without blinking! Don't you dare look down on me!"

Jocelyn let out a heavy sigh in her mind.

*Adrian, you absolute fool, is this really the time to provoke him?*

Thankfully, Adrian knew when to back off.

"Enough talk. Let her go."

The kidnapper didn't want to drag this out either.

"You let me walk out of here safely first. Once I know I'm clear, I'll release her."

Adrian's eyes narrowed dangerously.

"You're taking her with you?"
