The Mech Touch novel Chapter 7464

Chapter 7464: Boxed In

Anticipation among the human soldiers jumped considerably when the two ace mechs finally began to take action.

The First Sword Mark III possessed an unbeatable record while the Riot Mark III brandished a powerful tier 3 Destroyer spear.

Though both of them possessed a lot of similarities, they possessed entirely different appearances and conveyed significantly different impressions.

The First Sword Mark III’s uncoated surface gleamed with the light of hard superdimensional alloys. The new SEVA System relied on high-frequency vibrations to better withstand incoming attacks, so her exterior looked a little fuzzier than normal when active.

Her Saint Kingdom radiated an invisible sense of sharpness. It seemed that any action taken by the ace swordsman mech possessed the potential to cut much deeper than normal!

What truly attracted everyone’s attention was not the luxuriously expensive mech frame or the impressively large and impossibly sharp greatsword, but the 33 sword fey followed from behind!

The Prime Sword Fey and the 32 lesser sword fey assumed a formation that took on the shape of wings.

This made the First Sword Mark III appear more transcendent and imposing.

The appearance of this notoriously lethal superdimensional mech elicited a strong reaction from the opposing lesser phase lords.

Their charging speed faltered as multiple enemy leaders recognized one of the few superdimensional ace mechs employed by red humanity.

The First Sword Mark III had already reaped the lives of over a dozen native gods in the months she became active!

Whether by cutting off their heads with her impossibly sharp Decapitator or skewering them with dozens of superdimensional sword fey, the ace swordsman mech had established a reputation for letting not a single lesser phase lord leave her vicinity alive!

As for the Riot Mark III, the machine had earned much less infamy due to accompanying Ves on his trip to the Rubarthan Pact, but her superdimensional archemetal plating along with her nefarious and unstable aura indicated that she was probably just as difficult to deal with if not more.

Even though the two high-end machines should technically be categorized as junior ace mechs, their superdimensional construction alone defied this simple categorization.

Lesser phase lords did not necessarily fear a fight against junior ace mechs, especially when they had numbers on their side, but the alien leaders were not stupid.

Even if not all of them were well-informed, they at least knew that their attacks had very little chance of penetrating through the materials they believed to be derived from the bones of the Elder Gods.

This made it all the more suspicious that the lesser phase lords refused to abort their attack run.

Though their confidence had obviously dipped, they reluctantly resumed their flight and pushed forward in an inevitable confrontation between themselves and two superdimensional ace mechs.

"Are they ignorant or suicidal?" Isobel questioned as she watched the situation unfold from the bridge of the Tarrasque.

"Both and neither." Ves responded. "They are ignorant because they cannot possibly know everything our Larkinson ace mechs are capable of. They are suicidal because the combination of the Amaranto Mark III, the First Sword Mark III and the Riot Mark III can make short work of them regardless of what they can do. The fact that they are still moving forward is because there is a greater purpose behind their actions."

"They are sacrificing themselves." The idle female ace pilot speculated. "Are they trying to act as decoys?"

Ves shrugged. "Maybe. Possibly. It makes sense. They only need to keep the three aforementioned ace mechs occupied to allow another plan to come to fruition."

"You do not sound particularly concerned."

"If I can make this prediction, so can the Saint Commander. Nothing can escape her awareness."

Seconds passed as the distance closed at an astonishing rate. The First Sword Mark III possessed greater mobility than the Riot Mark III, especially when the former powered up her Electro-Reactant Flight System.

Electric wings adorned the metallic mech, causing her to resemble an angel of steel.

This sword-wielding machine charged straight towards the lesser orven phase lord that had previously shown unusual evasion capabilities, accelerating at such a high rate that it would seem that a collision was inevitable!

Yet moments before the Decapitator could slice through the orven phase lord’s defenses, the native god blinked away!

"TCH." Saint Dise made a sound of frustration when her charge accomplished nothing.

Even though her ace mech had already activated her high-end space suppression module, the living mech apparently needed to get a lot closer in order to make it unviable for the phase lord to teleport away.

"The Red Cabal most definitely upgraded the phasewater organ capable of enabling short-distance instant teleportation." Ves spoke into a communication channel. "The distance at the time of that last blink should have produced enough of a space suppression effect to block the displacement of a typical lesser phase lord. The fact that he was able to do so in the face of this difficulty suggests a recent but substantial upgrade. Expect this fellow to be particularly elusive."

That did not sound good.

Saint Dise wasted a lot of time in vain just now.

It took a lot of power and effort for her First Sword Mark III to change course and redirect her considerable momentum.

Despite achieving very little results so far, she did not become discouraged.

The Amaranto Mark III and the Riot Mark III managed to achieve much more substantial results. The former kept chipping away at the defenses of the more vulnerable phase lords while the latter decisively finished them off with her destructive spear thrusts!

With each and every strike, the ace spearman mech easily outmaneuvered the slower and clumsier phase lords and inflicted significant internal damage to their true bodies.

In contrast, every phase lord that confronted the Riot Mark III directly lost a lot of coordination and fluency. They flew as if they had become drunk all of a sudden. Even if they managed to land a hit, the superdimensional ace mech only accrued the tiniest of surface scratches.

For once, Saint Orfan no longer fought against overwhelmingly powerful opponents!

Though she found very little challenge in bullying these ’ordinary’ lesser phase lords, a part of her relished the opportunity to crush her foes by relying on superior tech and materials.

"YOUR LUCK ENDS HERE."
