The Mech Touch novel Chapter 7495

Chapter 7495: Loathing of the Similar Kind

Ves continued to wonder whether superdimensional weapons could effectively kill the deathborn.

They were highly lethal weapons against phase leaders and other material opponents, but they were not universal solutions.

He could imagine several circumstances where purely immaterial threats might be able to neutralize powerful superdimensional mechs or warships due to a mismatch in properties!

This seemed like an absurd situation. Superdimensional matter was incredibly powerful but also incredibly scarce.

Many people had developed a strong belief in the omnipotence of this super-grade exotic material for those reasons. They blindly believed that any conceivable adversary, including god mechs, could be slain by relying on superdimensional weapons!

Ves was one of the few people that did not share this belief.

Superdimensional matter possessed amazing properties, but still could not do everything better than many other materials.

Their spiritual properties were quite disappointing for example. They could not match the strength of hyper materials in terms of interacting with E energy. This alone told Ves that superdimensional matter possessed shortcomings.

Of course, nothing prevented an individual from combining the two materials.

The best materials scientists of all of the major players invested much of their time and effort into doing exactly that. They all knew that superdimensional technology represented the future, and in order to draw out its potential, they needed to develop superior alloys that possessed comprehensively better properties!

Even though all superdimensional alloys sacrificed a portion of their multi-dimensional strength in order to obtain other properties, the tradeoffs were worth it in some cases.

Ves would rather make use of a superdimensional alloy that could also leverage the power of E energy than utilizing pure superdimensional matter that only enjoyed superiority in the material realm.

Of all of the high-end mechs in the combined fleet, the First Sword Mark III leaned a lot closer to the latter.

This had been a deliberate design choice at the time.

Ves did not regret this course, but he also recognized that the ace swordsman mech had a greater chance of suffering setbacks if confronted by powerful intangible opponents.

If not for the fact that the Saint Kingdom of an ace mech happened to be extremely effective against most intangible existences, Ves might not even believe it was worth it to deploy the First Sword Mark III in the next encounter!

In any case, once he was done with visiting Saint Dise, he briefly stopped by the tightly guarded compartment reserved for the Riot Mark III.

He apparently came at a good time, as the dangerous D-mech did not show too many signs of losing control.

During the bad periods, the Riot Mark III had a tendency to tear against its restraints and produce energy fluctuations that made everyone in the vicinity feel deeply uncomfortable!

Its powerful superdimensional Chaos Armor rippled and expanded in a messy fashion. Depending on the mood of the perpetually angry Middle Demon, its surface occasionally spawned razor-sharp spikes or deeply disturbing tentacles!

Fortunately, those manifestations rarely persisted. Whenever Saint Orfan managed to regain enough control, she suppressed her new body’s mutations and calmed it down as much as possible.

Though Rosa Orfan had lost her human form, she had never truly let go of everything that made her human.

She still identified herself as one, as this was one of her anchors that prevented her from degenerating into a monster!

Right now, the Riot Mark III may appear calm at the moment, but Ves could feel that its situation was quite delicate.

The ace spearman mech seemed like a spring that had been compressed to its limit. Just a single touch could cause it to burst out of control!

Ves slowed his pace and stopped at a much more respectful distance than usual.

"Ves. What... do you want?"

"...Yes. I am not afraid of undead ghosts. I won’t... embarrass myself like I did when we fought against that Level 8 Goliath. My strength lends itself better against an enemy that lacks a strong body. I am even looking forward to how well I can destabilize these new opponents. I just don’t know whether my Destroyer spear can kill them fast enough."
