Hearing this. Nova paused. like the pante the girl expected, she turned around, crossed her arms, and looked at her with a playful gaze.

Students passing by the gymnasium stopped at the sound, but Nova paid no mind, simply waiting.

Sure enough, as soon as Nova turned around, the girl pressed her hands to her chest and lowered her head. “I’m sorry,” she said loudly. “I said that on purpose just to get your attention. Can we talk for a moment?”

To ordinary students, the word “assassin” was nothing more than dramatic term in novels. They knew the hidden experts at school were powerful but never linked them to assassins.

The students who stopped to watch were simply out of curiosity. After hearing what the girl said, they quickly lost interest and dispersed.

Once the onlookers were gone, the seemingly timid girl flashed a sly, triumphant smile. “Interested in talking now, Miss Assassin?”

Now that the crowd was gone, she dropped her act and invited Nova to chat. Little did she know Nova had seen it coming all along.

Since the girl had offered something that piqued her interest, Nova slipped her hands into her pockets and gave a nod. “Lead the way.”

The abandoned teaching building at SLRA was usually deserted.

When Nova arrived with the girl, she spotted four figures standing in front of the building from a distance.

A petite girl, only five feet tall and holding a rabbit doll, exclaimed cheerfully, “Evie’s back!”

Among them stood a tall boy with delicate features-not strikingly handsome, but intriguing. He was clearly the leader of the group.

After the twin-braided girl led Nova into the group, the guy nodded at the girl and extended his hand to Nova. “Hello, I’m Felix Scott.”

Then, he gestured toward the twin-braided girl and added, “This is my sister, Evie Scott.”

Nova kept one hand in her pocket and did not return the handshake.

Felix seemed to know Evie very well. He was unfazed by Nova’s aloofness, ruffling Evie’s hair and chucking, “Has Evie been rude to you? If she offended you, I apologize on her behalf.”

As he finished speaking, he apologized to Nova.

Felix’s smooth manners and etiquette ignited a flicker of interest in Nova’s eyes. She replied flatly, “I don’t usually shake hands.”

After hearing her, Felix withdrew his hand, a smile appearing on his refined face.

He could tell Nova wasn’t much of a talker, so he cut straight to the point. “I asked my sister to invite you here, Nova. Actually, this isn’t our first meeting. That day, at the abandoned building in the suburbs…”

He smiled meaningfully, leaving the rest unsaid but clear enough.

Hová, ever the sharp.one, understood instantly. Felix and Evie were the hidden figures who had witnessed her kill fugitives from the rooftop that night.

More precisely, they were the stronger, more cunning figures Jordan had mentioned.

Unlike the fugitives who exposed themselves and were wiped out, they had hidden discreetly at SLRA, quietly gathering a trusted team. And today, they had sought out Nova.

“I know you, Nova,” Felix said, his gaze landing on her. “You’re the third daughter of the Blake family, recently returned, and also this year’s duel champion. Watching you defeat Zabe convinced me you were no ordinary person.”

Felix looked at her with steady eyes as he continued, “But that day, you took down these fugitives and even detected us hiding in the shadows. I became certain you’re the same as us. You’re an assassin.”

He wrapped an arm around Evie’s shoulder and said, “Evie and I are both assassins. We were kidnapped into an assassin organization when I was sixteen and she was fourteen.

Felix rubbed the back of his neck. “But on the global stage, I guess we’re considered low-level assassins.”

Just then, a muscular, six feet two inches tall man cut in loudly, “Come on, Felix. Stop being so modest. You’re the strongest on the team, and you are still so young. Few people at your age have your strength.

“You’ve completed two SSS-rank missions. How many peers internationally can say that? Almost none!”

From their words, Nova realized this was a secret team of hidden campus experts. They had met at SLRA, formed an alliance, and built strong bonds.
