The Messenger( Iva) novel Chapter 136

First Clues-2

No one had ever left him before.

Never.

Women chased him.

Desired him.

Clung to him like moths to a flame, and most of the time he had to push them away, keep distance, maintain control, keep them from becoming an inconvenience.

They never walked away.

}

Not from him.

Claim

Not from the Lycan Crown Prince.

And yet-

Iva did.

Didn’t stay.

Didn’t fight for him.

She just-

Left.

His chest tightened again, something almost unfamiliar settling in his gut.

Not just anger.

Not just rage.

But something dangerously close to… hurt.

“Why…” he whispered, his voice low, strained, almost disbelieving.

His gaze remained fixed on the screen, replaying the moment over and over again in his mind.

Her calm steps.

Her quiet exit.

No hesitation.

No looking back.

“Why would you do this…?” he muttered, his jaw tightening as confusion mixed violently with everything else boiling inside him.

Because no matter how many times he replayed it-

First Clues de

No matter how hard he tried to understand-

One question refused to leave him.

Why would his mate

Choose to leave him?

Clam

Caleb’s grip on the iPad didn’t loosen.

If anything-

It tightened.

His eyes remained locked on the frozen frame of Iva walking out of his life, his jaw clenched so hard it felt like it might crack, his mind racing through possibilities, scenarios, explanations-

Anything that could make sense of this.

But there was no sense.

Only rage.

Only confusion.

Only that sharp, unbearable feeling in his chest that refused to go away.

Slowly, he lifted his gaze toward his security team, his expression dark, controlled-but only barely.

“I want everything,” he said, his voice low, dangerous, each word precise. “Every contact she had. Every call. Every message. Every person she interacted with.”

A pause.

“Nothing is irrelevant.”

The analyst straightened immediately.

“Sir… we already took that step,” he replied carefully. “In anticipation.”

Caleb’s eyes narrowed slightly.

“And?” he pressed.

The man hesitated for just a fraction of a second.

And that was enough.

Caleb’s entire body tensed, something dark rising instantly in his chest.

“She met with someone,” the analyst continued.

And just like that-

First Clues de

Something ugly reared its head inside Caleb,

Jealousy

Sharp.

Violent.

Unforgiving.

Claim

His fingers curled into fists, his entire posture stiffening as a dangerous thought crossed his mind before he could even stop it.

Someone else.

His mate-

With someone else.

Chaos exploded inside him.

A male?

Someone dared to approach her?

Touch her?

A low, threatening growl rumbled in Caleb’s chest, barely restrained as his aura spiked dangerously, the air

in the room dropping several degrees under the weight of his anger.

“Who?” he demanded, his voice sharper now, edged with something feral.

The analyst swallowed slightly, clearly feeling the shift.

“She was visited,” he said carefully, choosing his words with precision. “…by Miss Sonia.”

Silence.

Absolute.

Caleb froze.

For a split second-

His mind went blank.

Because that-

That was the last thing he expected.

“Sonia…?” he repeated slowly, his voice dangerously quiet.

A cold, calculated tension replaced the initial shock, his eyes darkening as realization began to form.

“Show me.”

The analyst didn’t hesitate.

He tapped the screen, pulling up another recording, handing the iPad back to Caleb.

And there it was.

Clear.

Undeniable.

The penthouse door opening.

Sonia standing there.

Confident.

Composed.

Caleb’s jaw tightened.

His eyes followed every movement, every gesture, every expression.

He saw them talking.

Couldn’t hear the words.

But he didn’t need to.

Because he saw enough.

The posture.

The body language.

The subtle tension.

And then-

Sonia left.

Just like that.

And the next frame-

Hit harder than anything else.

Iva.

Alone.

Standing by the door.

Frozen.

And then-

Clarm

First Clues

She crumbled.

Sliding down slowly, her body giving in as if something inside her had just shattered completely.

Caleb’s chest constricted violently.

A sharp, suffocating pain tearing through him as the pieces clicked together with brutal clarity.

“…Fuck,” he breathed out, his voice low, filled with realization.-

His mind moved fast.

Too fast.

Replaying every moment.

Every interaction.

Every word.

Sonia’s lies.

Her presence.

Her timing.

And Iva-

Her reaction.

What did she say to her?

What lies did she feed her?

What poison did she plant?

Chaos roared.

Louder than ever.

She touched what is ours.

She broke her.

We kill her.

Claim

A violent surge of rage flooded Caleb’s veins, his entire body tensing as his control slipped dangerously close to breaking.

“Let’s go,” Chaos snarled inside him. “Let’s snap her neck.”

For a moment-

Caleb almost gave in.
