The Messenger( Iva) novel Chapter 153

Ready to Face Him?-3

Attia began to walk stowly across the stage, his hands clasped behind his back, his gaze never leaving the crowd.

“Duty,” he said firmly. “Discipline. Sacrifice.”

Each word landed heavier than the last.

“You will learn your place in this society,” he continued. “And you will understand that every single one of you… plays a role.”

Another pause.

“And those who fail to uphold that role…”

His voice dropped.

Dangerously.

“… will be removed.”

The room stilled completely.

“You will be evaluated constantly,” Attia added, his tone cold. “Your performance. Your discipline. Your results will be checked every 6 months.”

Iva’s fingers curled slightly in her lap.

“If you fail to maintain the required standards,” he continued, his eyes narrowing slightly, “…you will lose your place here.”

Her breath caught.

“And you will be sent back to your packs.”

Iva paled instantly.

Her heart dropped.

Sent back?

No…

No, that wasn’t possible…

She had believed-

She had been sure-

That once accepted, she had three years.

Three years of safety.

Ready to Facetim?-3

Of distance.

Of escape.

But now-

That illusion shattered.

Her stomach twisted painfully as panic began to rise.

“Iva…” Lori whispered beside her, equally shocked.

But Iva barely heard her.

Because her mind was already spiralling.

Until-

Attia spoke again.

And everything changed once again.

“However,” he said, his tone shifting slightly, drawing attention once more. “… you are not alone in your training, as you will be supported by our outstanding staff.”

A ripple of curiosity spread across the room, as each professor was introduced.

Claum

After the last person was introduced, Attia stopped at the center of the stage again, his posture straight, his gaze sharp.

“And, this year, we have a special guest.”

The room leaned in.

“An alumnus of this Academy.”

More whispers.

“He will be returning periodically throughout the year..”

A pause.

“To teach Strategy.”

“A man who needs no introduction.”

And then-

Attia spoke the name.

“The Crown Prince… Caleb Adama.”

Applause erupted instantly.

Loud.

Excited.

Almost deafening.

Students stood.

Some cheered.

Others whispered in awe.

But Iva-

Iva couldn’t move.
