Decisions with You-2
A small part of her still wondered-
Where exactly do I stand… in his future?

They walked side by side in silence, their footsteps echoing softly against the polished floors of the royal corridors, yet the quiet between them was anything but empty-it was thick, charged, filled with everything they had said… and everything still left unsaid.
Yet, despite everything, she felt exhausted.
Iva kept her gaze forward, trying to steady the storm inside her, but she was painfully aware of him next to her-his presence, his warmth, the faint brush of his arm every now and then that sent small sparks through her already overwhelmed senses.
After what felt like both seconds and an eternity, Caleb stopped.
They stood in front of two tall, imposing double doors, carved from dark wood with intricate designs that spoke of power and legacy.
Iva blinked, slightly startled as she came to a halt beside him.
Without a word, Caleb reached forward and pushed the doors open.
They swung inward smoothly.
“Go on,” he said, his voice low, almost casual, as he gestured for her to step inside.
Hesitantly, Iva obeyed.
The moment she crossed the threshold, her breath caught.
The room was… overwhelming.
Dark tones dominated the space-deep mahogany, charcoal, rich fabrics that gave the entire chamber a heavy, almost intimidating atmosphere, yet it was undeniably elegant, powerful… fitting for someone like him.
Her eyes were immediately drawn to the center.
A massive bed stood there, framed by four tall pillars draped with dark fabric, commanding attention like a throne in its own right.
She took a slow breath.
And then another.
Something felt… familiar.
Her brows furrowed slightly as she inhaled again, deeper this time-

And realization hit her all at once.
The scent.
It was him.
Everywhere.
Her eyes widened as she turned toward him, words tumbling out before she could stop them.
“T-This is your room-”
Caleb’s laugh cut her off, low and amused, the sound sending an unexpected shiver down her spine.
He stepped inside fully and, with a decisive motion, pushed the doors closed behind him.
The heavy thud echoed through the room.
Iva jumped slightly at the sound, her heart skipping.
And then-
“Wrong,” he said smoothly.
She blinked, confused.

Before she could process, he took a slow step toward her, his gaze locking onto hers with that intense, unreadable look that always unraveled her.
“Now,” he added, his voice dropping just enough to make her pulse spike, “it’s our room.”
Iva’s breath hitched.
Heat rushed instantly to her cheeks, her entire face flushing as her mind scrambled to catch up with his words.
“Our-what- I mean- you can’t just-” she started, stumbling over herself completely, her hands lifting slightly as if trying to physically organize her thoughts.
Caleb’s lips twitched, clearly entertained.
“I can,” he replied simply, taking another step closer.
Iva instinctively stepped back.
“And you’re overthinking again.”
“I am not overthinking!” she shot back, though her voice betrayed her slightly, rising just a bit too fast. “You just-drop things like that without warning-any normal person would react!”
“Normal?” he echoed, one brow arching as he closed the distance between them. “You stopped being’ normal’ the moment you became mine.”
Her mouth opened.
Closed.

Opened again.
Nothing came out.
He was too close now
Way too close.
“I-Caleb-you can’t just decide things like that without asking me-”
