Your Last Worry-2

She could barely contain herself.

Her hands reached for him without her conscious permission. Her fingers fisted in his shirt, pulling him closer, needing him closer. A low whimper escaped her throat-a sound of pure, unfiltered need.

She was so lost in the haze of heat and desire that she didn’t register the change in surroundings until a loud noise cut through her fog.

She blinked, looking around in confusion.

They were… outside?

The academy buildings were behind them, their familiar spires disappearing into the darkness. In front of them, a black sleek helicopter sat on a helipad, its blades already rotating, whipping her wet hair around her face and sending cold droplets against her overheated skin.

Attia moved with purpose, his strides long and determined, his grip on her never faltering. In a few steps, he had her inside the helicopter. He lowered her into the seat, his fingers moving quickly, efficiently, as he strapped her in. His movements were controlled, almost mechanical, but she could see the tension in his jaw, the fire in his eyes.

Lori whimpered involuntarily at the loss of contact.

Attia paused, his gaze meeting hers for a fraction of a second. His expression was intense-dark, focused, barely restrained. The air between them crackled with electricity, with unspoken words and unfulfilled promises.

Then he finished securing her and moved to his own seat, his body radiating heat even from across the small space.

Within moments, they were airborne.

The helicopter lifted off, rising above the academy grounds. Lori stared out the window, watching the familiar buildings shrink beneath them. The training fields. The dormitories. The library where she had spent countless hours studying. All of it grew smaller and smaller until they were just specks against the vast landscape.

*What was happening?*

*Where was he taking her?*

She wanted to ask him-needed to ask him-but something in his expression held her back. Something dark. Something primal. Something that told her words were useless right now.

His eyes were fixed on the horizon, his jaw tight, his hands gripping his knees. But she could feel his attention on her, could feel the weight of his presence pressing against her even without eye contact.

Another wave of heat crashed through her, and she cried out, her body arching against the restraints. The pain was excruciating-a burning, aching need that radiated from her core and spread through every limb.

Attia’s head snapped toward her.

His hand reached across the space between them and gripped hers. The contact was electric-a shockwave that traveled up her arm and settled deep in her chest.

“Almost there,” he said, his voice rough “Hold on.”

Lori nodded, not trusting her voice.

She had no idea how long they were in the air.

Time had lost all meaning. Minutes blurred into hours, and hours blurred into nothing. All she knew was the heat, the pain, and the steady warmth of his hand wrapped around hers,

Then they began to descend.

The landscape below shifted from open fields to dense forest to a clearing tucked away in the mountains. A villa rose from the trees-imposing but discrete, surrounded by all pines and hidden from prying eyes.

The helicopter touched down.

Attia was out of his seat before the blades stopped spinning, moving around to her side and unbuckling her with quick, practiced movements. He lifted her into his arms, cradling her against his chest.

Another wave of pain hit her, and she bent over, her body curling in on itself. A scream tore from her throat -raw, desperate, uncontrollable.

He caught her before she could fall.

In one smooth motion, he adjusted his grip and carried her toward the villa.

The path was short, lined with smooth stones and soft lighting. But Lori barely registered any of it. All she could focus on was the warmth of his body, the steady beat of his heart beneath her ear, the way his arms held her like she was something precious.

They reached the door.

Attia paused at the threshold, his body tense, his breathing ragged.

He whispered something under his breath-words she couldn’t quite catch, words that sounded almost like a prayer-and then pushed the door open.

The villa was warm, welcoming, filled with the scent of him. His smell was everywhere-on the furniture, in the air, on the very walls. It wrapped around her like a blanket, soothing and arousing in equal measure.

He carried her through the entryway, past a spacious living room, down a long corridor.

The door closed behind them with a decisive thud.

Lori looked around, her eyes adjusting to the dim light. The room was large, dominated by a massive bed draped in dark linens.
