Gregor’s jaw tightened.
“This time, it’s different. The wolf is Alpha blood. We cannot-”
Calin went pale.
His hands gripped the edge of his desk, his knuckles whitening.
“Alpha blood? As a lone wolf?” he repeated, his voice barely above a whisper. “Are you
certain?”
Gregor nodded.
“I sensed it myself. Strong. Ancient. He knows the law. He invoked it when we tried to enter his territory.”
Calin’s face went ashen.
