The Mind-Reading Mate Why Is the Lycan King So Obsessed With Me novel Chapter 21

Chapter 21: The Secret to Flawless Skin

When Primrose opened her eyes, she immediately noticed something strange.

She wasn’t in Edmund’s bedroom anymore.

She blinked a few times and stared at the white ceiling above her. She lay there like a frozen statue, bracing herself for the inevitable pain like chronic back pain, soreness in her hole, exhaustion that would leave her unable to walk for days.

But ... nothing.

There was no soreness, no discomfort, no ache between her legs. It was as if last night’s intense activities had never even happened.

Slowly, she sat up, her fingers brushing over the soft, silky fabric covering her body. The long blue nightgown felt so smooth against her skin, as if she had been bathed and dressed while she slept.

It was weird though.

Wasn’t she supposed to be suffering right now?

She had heard countless stories about what happened when a woman spent too much time having sex with a strong man. How she wouldn’t even be able to stand the next morning, let alone move. But what was this?

Instead of feeling sore or weak, her mood was soaring through the roof!

She felt amazing and so energized that she was convinced she could run around the entire training grounds, challenge the knights to a duel, and still have enough strength left to conquer a kingdom!

Did that even make sense?!

Her fingers hesitantly brushed against her cheek, and her confusion only deepened.

Her skin felt softer. Plumper. Smoother.

Even ... glowing?

What in the world had Edmund done to her?

Was this really the benefit of having sex? Or ... did it only work if she slept with a Lycan?!

No, wait—maybe not just any Lycan. It had to be a ridiculously hot, strong, and insanely handsome Lycan King.

"I feel alive!"

Primrose stood on the bed, arms stretched above her head, basking in her energy as if she had just been reborn. That was until her eyes landed on the mirror across the room.

The red marks on her neck ... were gone.

That wasn’t right.

Edmund had practically decorated her skin with love bites last night. So many that she hadn’t even bothered counting them.

Yet now? Not a single one remained.

Had he healed her while she was asleep? Erased every mark, soothed every ache, and washed away every trace of exhaustion?

Wait a second.

Did that mean ... he had licked her all over?!

Her entire face turned red.

For some reason, the image of a big fluffy dog grooming its owner came to her mind.

But wasn’t that technically accurate? He was a dog.

That thought alone was enough to make her slap herself.

He was a Lycan! Not a dog! She had to remember that for good.

Before she could fully process the absurdity of the situation, the door suddenly burst open without warning, without knocking, and without a bit of concern for her dignity.

"Your Majesty, what are you doing?!"

Leah’s horrified voice echoed through the room, her expression a perfect mix of disbelief and concern as she saw her Queen standing on the bed like an overgrown toddler on a sugar rush.

[Our Queen is absolutely insane.]

[I heard she spent the entire night in the King’s chamber, but seeing her this ... energized, I’m starting to doubt they actually had intercourse.]

Why did everyone assume she should be a crippled after spending a night with Edmund?

She glanced at the mirror, examining her own reflection before recalling Edmund’s physique—his height, his broad shoulders, the sheer size of him compared to her.

Honestly, if Edmund didn’t have the ability to heal her, she might have died before sunrise.

But shouldn’t everyone already know that?

Unless ... they thought his ability was just a rumor?

Lycans were naturally gifted with powerful regeneration, but their saliva? That was a different story. It seemed not all Lycans had the ability to heal others with it.

Besides, would Edmund even want to use his saliva to heal just anyone?

The mighty Lycan King licking wounded soldiers?

Kissing sick maids to cure them?

Oh, hell no.

If he ever did the last one, Primrose would burn him to ashes.
