The Mind-Reading Mate Why Is the Lycan King So Obsessed With Me novel Chapter 446

Chapter 446: A Little Soak... or Something More?

Edmund didn’t expect that the discussion about their business would take so long that he didn’t get the chance to accompany his wife to choose the clothes they would wear to the banquet.

He honestly thought that his wife would be mad at him, or at least pout a little because he didn’t keep his promise. But when he opened their chamber door, he saw his wife greeting him with joy.

"Husband, you’re back!" She wore a bright red bathrobe, her hair tied up casually. Without giving him a chance to speak, Primrose rushed toward him and said, "Come on! We finally have some time to relax after such a long day."

Edmund looked at her in confusion, but he didn’t stop her as she grabbed his hand and led him down the hallway. "Where are we going?" he asked.

Primrose turned to him, chuckling. "I’m wearing a bathrobe right now, so... take a guess?"

[Wife, if you want to take a bath, can’t we just do it in our private bathroom? Why did you come all the way out here?] Edmund asked through his mind.

"Because... the bathroom we’re going to is more enjoyable!" Primrose replied happily.

Edmund let his wife drag him to wherever she wanted. They walked through the quiet hallway until they stopped in front of a small building at the back of the mansion.

It stood between the manor and the snowy backyard. Snowflakes drifted down gently from the sky, but the cold wind was still strong enough to make anyone shiver.

Edmund wrapped his arm around Primrose’s shoulders, pulling her close to keep her warm. "Wife, I don’t think walking around in this weather is a good idea," he said gently.

He was actually on the verge of just lifting his wife and forcibly carrying her back inside their room.

"We... we’ll be fine once we step inside," Primrose said, her teeth almost chattering. But the moment she opened the door to the separate building, warm steam rushed out to greet them.

The soft sound of running water echoed inside. It came from the pipes connected directly to the natural spring. There were no fire stoves or any heat source here, but Lazarus always asked talented wizards to cast warming magic over the whole bath pavilion.

"Since the water becomes warm the moment it flows in, we don’t need to ask the maids to prepare hot water anymore." Primrose smiled as she pulled Edmund’s hand and led him into the bath pavilion.

When the door closed behind them, they were completely surrounded by warmth, leaving all the cold behind them.

"I asked the maids to put our clean clothes here." Primrose looked around, and her smile widened when she spotted the neatly folded clothes on the wooden shelf near the entrance.

"What are you waiting for?" she asked as she turned to Edmund, confused by how he was still frozen in place. "You have to take off your clothes before getting into the water."

"Don’t you think this is a little risky, my wife?" Edmund murmured. "This bath pavilion belongs to your father."

If this place belonged to him, Edmund wouldn’t mind at all. But since it belonged to Lazarus, he felt hesitant to do anything naughty here, especially if they accidentally messed up the warm water.

Primrose waved her hand. "Well... it’s not like we have to do anything bad here." She added, "We can just soak in the warm water."

She turned toward him, eyeing the part of his body that wasn’t covered by water. She could easily stare at those muscles the whole day and never get bored.

"Like... whenever I see you shirtless, I want to touch your muscles," Primrose said honestly. At first she only wanted to comfort him, but she slowly realized she was just as perverted as him.

But that wasn’t wrong, as long as they were only perverted toward each other.

"Honestly, I don’t get it," Primrose said as she slowly swam toward him, her hands gliding through the warm water.

"Get what?" Edmund straightened up, suddenly alert as she moved closer.

"What’s wrong with making the water a little dirty? The maids will clean it after someone uses it," Primrose said casually. "And... I already locked the door."

When she finally stood right in front of him, Primrose lifted her chin so she could easily look into Edmund’s eyes.

"Besides," she whispered with a teasing smile, "this pavilion is far from the other rooms... so maybe we’re allowed to be a little loud." 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

Edmund felt his throat tighten as Primrose leaned even closer. The warm water rippled gently around them, but the heat on his skin had nothing to do with the magic in the pool.

Primrose’s smile grew even softer. She placed her hands on his chest, her fingers brushing against his damp skin. "You’re so tense. Didn’t you say we were only going to soak?"
