The Mind-Reading Mate Why Is the Lycan King So Obsessed With Me novel Chapter 64

Chapter 64: The King’s Sleepless Night

Primrose found herself sleeping on something strange. The bed wasn’t as soft as usual, and it felt warm, almost too warm.

As she slowly opened her eyes, she realized she wasn’t lying on her bed at all. Instead, her head was resting against Edmund’s chest. His steady heartbeat echoed softly in her ear, rising and falling like a quiet lullaby.

In an instant, her eyes fluttered fully open, and she blinked in disbelief.

How ... how in the name of her great ancestor did she end up sleeping on his body?!

When she lifted her head, she saw something even more shocking. Edmund was still awake, his icy-blue eyes locked onto hers like a predator watching its prey all night.

What time is it?

Before she could fully process the situation, she heard him speak in a hoarse voice. "Morning, wife."

Morning?

Primrose turned her gaze towards the window, and to her shock, the sunlight was already shining so brightly that it briefly blinded her.

Primrose quickly sat up, flustered. "I—I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to—"

She stood up too fast, making her head spin a little. Because of that, she lost her balance and almost fell to the floor.

Luckily, Edmund was faster.

He gently pulled her hand, bringing her back into his arms.

"You did nothing wrong, wife."

Nothing wrong, he said?!

Primrose had been sleeping on top of the King’s body from last night until morning, and even worse, she kept him awake the entire night!

While she was sleeping like a baby, he had to endure the discomfort of lying on the hard sofa, holding her without moving.

He had worked so hard yesterday, yet instead of letting him rest properly, Primrose unknowingly made it worse by using him as her personal bed.

[I couldn’t sleep last night because her sleeping face is too beautiful to ignore.]

Oh ... if he was the one insisting on staying awake, then it wasn’t her fault, right?

"I-I really don’t know how I ended up sleeping like that!" Primrose pulled herself away from Edmund, flustered.

She quickly buried her face in her hands, trying to hide her bright red cheeks that now looked like a freshly picked apple. "I swear it wasn’t on purpose!"

[Why does my wife look even more adorable when she’s flustered like this?]

[Even her messy bed hair makes her look even prettier.]

Is he blind?!

How could anyone think she looked good like this?!

Her wavy hair was the kind that always turned frizzy and messy after sleep.

Primrose couldn’t believe he really thought she looked adorable or beautiful!

Panicking, she tried to smooth down her hair with both hands and quickly pushed it to the side, hoping to hide the mess from Edmund.

"W-Why didn’t you wake me up?" Primrose asked in a small voice, too embarrassed to meet his eyes.

Edmund, who usually needed time to think before speaking, answered right away.

"I just didn’t want to."
