The Mischievous Doctor (Finnegan and Nuthana) novel Chapter 409

“Tell me. What explanation do you owe me?”

Upon returning to the Zimmerman residence, Millicent immediately shattered a cup.

Sapphire sobbed at the side, saying, “Mom, what explanation could there be? Patrick's family must have known about it. They might have even encouraged Finnegan to do this.”

“Patrick.” Bishop's eyes were bloodshot, his voice hoarse. “Swear to me, did you know? Dare you say that this matter is exactly as the police department described?”

Patrick calmly said, “Would you believe me even if I swore? The evidence about Tim's matter is irrefutable. What's the point of insisting on Finnegan's involvement? What evidence do you have? Just because you've made up your minds, you went to cause trouble for Finnegan?”

Patrick paused and added, “You should go, then. Currently, Old Mr. Wahlstrom resides in Dragon Bay. Let's see if he will give you the opportunity to create a stir!”

Upon hearing Theoden's name, the trio immediately lost their stance.

Millicent asked, “So, what explanation are you going to give us?”

“Let's go to the study. Bishop, you come along too.”

Millicent demanded, “What is it that can't be discussed here?”

However, Patrick headed straight for Bruce's study. “If you want me to explain, then follow me.”

Upon seeing this, Millicent said in annoyance, “I wonder what you're going to say. Bishop, come with me!”

“Sapphire.”

Sapphire wanted to follow them but was timely held back by Jennifer. “Let them talk. Keep me company for a while.”

Sapphire abruptly shook off Jennifer's hand. “What good is there to talk about with you? Your family are people who rely on a powerful backing to bully others.”

Cursing under her breath, Sapphire walked off to the side. She needed to make a call to Queenie.

Inside the study, Millicent commanded, “Speak.”

With a quiet sigh, Patrick said, “Mom, Bishop, what I'm about to tell you concerns the reputation of the Zimmerman family. I hope that after hearing it, you can remain calm and try not to make it public knowledge!”

Subsequently, Patrick took out his mobile phone and opened the video file that Finnegan had sent him.

“Firstly, take a look at this.”

Bishop took it and looked at it together with Millicent.

However, halfway through, both of their expressions changed dramatically. Millicent even exclaimed in surprise, “Where did this video come from? How could Tim have pushed your dad into the river?”

Bishop shook his head, saying, “How could it be? How could it be?”

Patrick said, “You can judge the authenticity of the video. There's no room for doubt. As for why he chose to act this way, there's another video below. Once you've watched it, you'll understand.”

Upon hearing this, Bishop quickly scrolled down to play another video.

It was indeed the scene that Finnegan had captured earlier tonight.

However, Patrick had temporarily cut out some irrelevant parts, leaving only the parts about Timothy's dealings with Bruce, Sapphire's manipulation behind the scenes, and the section revealing that Timothy was not Bishop's biological son.

“Impossible! How could Tim not be my own grandson?”

“Patrick, this is a lie. It's a lie! It must be Finnegan who threatened Tim to say so.”

Bishop found this even more unacceptable.

After all, Timothy was the son he had raised for almost twenty-eight years.

Saying that Timothy was not his biological child now would be something no man could accept.

At this moment, Millicent was surprisingly calm. “Patrick, what evidence do you have?”

Patrick replied, “I received the video just before I went to the police department, so I haven't had time to verify it yet. But it wouldn't be difficult for us to confirm it, right?”

“Sapphire, Sapphire!”

Smack!

While beating her, Millicent also berated, “The most despicable thing is your venomous heart, even plotting against Bruce. You're truly evil.”

Bishop slumped to the ground, tears of humiliation streaming down his face.

Seeing that Millicent could really beat Sapphire to death, Patrick hurriedly intervened, “Mom, stop hitting her. Even if you kill her now, it won't do any good. It will only bring trouble upon yourself!”

Millicent suddenly burst into tears, retreating to sit down, “Get out, just get out of here. Bishop, drive this shameless woman out of our home and divorce her. Whoever wants to deal with that bastard Timothy can go ahead. I don't care anymore.”

Bishop rose in anger, grabbing Sapphire by the hair. “Get out, you b*tch! Get out of my sight!”

Dragging Sapphire by the hair, he left, and Patrick did not try to stop him anymore.

Jennifer and Bernice hurried into the study. “What happened?”

With a light sigh, Patrick relayed the situation to them.

After Bernice learned of the situation, her face drastically changed. “What? Aunt Sapphire ordered Timothy to kill Grandpa?”

Jennifer's heart pounded as she exclaimed, “How utterly malicious!”

A moment later, Bishop returned with a dejected look on his face. “Mom!”

At this moment, Millicent wore an expression of exhaustion and age, lamenting, “Family disgrace! Such a family disgrace!”

She paused for a moment before addressing Bishop, “Tomorrow, you should go find Queenie and have a paternity test done with her. If she's not your daughter, then I want her out of here.”

When Bishop recalled how Sapphire had secretly cheated on him several times throughout their marriage, his eyelids twitched. “I'm going to the hospital right now.”

And when Bishop stormed out, Millicent turned to Patrick. “We were fortunate to have you this time. Otherwise, all of Zimmerman family's assets would have been stolen by Sapphire. But let's keep this matter to ourselves. Bishop can't afford to lose face.”

Patrick nodded. “I understand. That's why I chose to tell you directly!”

Millicent spoke up. “However, I still need to take over the Zimmerman family and the company. Only then can Finnegan treat your father afterward.”
