The Mischievous Doctor (Finnegan and Nuthana) novel Chapter 411

Finnegan closed the door and began to examine Bruce's health.

He suffered from irreversible brain damage due to suffocation.

“Thank goodness you have a good granddaughter. Otherwise, even if I could have saved you, you would have been confined to a wheelchair!”

Murmuring to himself, Finnegan placed his palm on Bruce's forehead.

As his meridians circulated, the positive energy from his elixir field dispersed, sending a strand directly into Bruce's brain.

In this way, Bruce's brain injury could be directly healed, allowing him to wake up just like a normal person.

Of course, other methods could also be used.

However, that would require ten to fifteen days, and it would only serve to awaken Bruce. The physical paralysis caused by his brain injury was extremely difficult to deal with.

Given the current situation of the Zimmerman family, they certainly couldn't afford to wait that long.

Once the positive energy was transferred, Finnegan immediately executed the twenty-seven variation of the Fateful Eighteen Needles, stimulating and enhancing Bruce's own bodily functions.

The data from the device connected to his body nearby showed a significant change.

In the blink of an eye, the trembling needles chimed in unison.

After being many days in a coma, Bruce showed signs of waking up; his eyelids fluttered lightly.

Subsequently, Finnegan put away the golden needle. “It seems I need to think of more ways to restore the positive energy.”

It seemed that even with regular treatment, Bruce's condition would take at least half a month to fully recover.

And now, with the guidance of the positive energy, it took less than ten minutes, both before and after.

Reflecting on this, Finnegan looked inwardly at his elixir field.

He couldn't help but ask, “So, it was restored just like that?”

Just a moment ago, he had only dispersed a wisp of healing energy toward Bruce, but now, his positive energy was back to its original state without any reduction whatsoever.

“It seems that the more severe the illness, the greater the recovery of positive energy!”

At this moment, Bruce slowly opened his eyes.

The light was blinding, prompting him to close his eyes out of discomfort.

Finnegan's smile faded as he said, “Old Mr. Zimmerman, after a trip to the gates of death, don't you feel life is even more precious?”

Bruce opened his eyes. “Did you save me?”

“Who else but me could have brought you back to life from your irreversible brain injury?”

Upon hearing this, Bruce said, “Thank you.”

He turned, his expression darkening as he asked, “Where is Timothy?”

“He's dead!”

“Huh?”

Bruce's pupils constricted sharply, his face showing surprise. “Dead?”

Finnegan nodded, briefly explaining Timothy's death, “That's how it happened. He was killed in an act of revenge last night. Furthermore, Mr. Patrick and your family's matriarch have had a falling out, with everything now out in the open. Moreover, your second daughter-in-law was driven out of the house. Bishop and your family's matriarch already know that Timothy is not of the Zimmerman family's bloodline!”

Unexpectedly, so many things had happened during the days he was unconscious.

Bruce felt slightly upset. “How did it come to this? Can't a family live in harmony? Is the outside world now laughing at the Zimmerman family?”

“That's not the case. Mr. Patrick handled it very discreetly, so no one's making fun of the family.”

Upon hearing this, Bruce seemed to breathe a slight sigh of relief.

However, when he looked at Finnegan, his gaze was filled with deep thought. “So, what was your role in all of this? Patrick knows that she isn't his birth mother. You told him, didn't you?”

Finnegan nodded. “Exactly. That old woman and her son's family were bullying my wife's family. I had to stand up for them! Why...”

Pausing, he narrowed his eyes, his expression a mix of amusement and seriousness. “Do you have any objections?”

Bruce glanced at Queenie, who was shouting outside, then promptly closed his eyes. “Things have come to this point. Who is right or wrong no longer matters. You should go!”

“Please, have a seat first.”

Quiana pulled up a stool for him.

This piqued Finnegan's curiosity even more. “Mom, did something happen? Did Uncle Adrian call you?”

“No.” Quiana waved her hand. “I was just wondering what kind of wife you'll find in the future.”

Upon hearing this, Finnegan looked puzzled and said, “Mom, what are you talking about? Bernie and I are already engaged.”

“I understand.” Quiana flashed a bitter smile. “I'm not asking you to break up with Bernie or anything. It's just that I had a chat with Mrs. Miles yesterday, and then I spent the whole night talking with your dad. I'm worried that you might end up letting Bernie down and bring us another daughter-in-law! That's because there are too many girls around you now. All of them are beautiful and outstanding. For example, Ms. Langdon, Ms. Miles, and Ms. Haimowitz. Their family backgrounds are all superior to Bernie's. I'm afraid you might not be able to resist the temptation!”

Upon hearing this, Finnegan understood.

He couldn't help but laugh. “Mom, are you afraid that I'll make a mistake while interacting with them?”

Quiana nodded. “I do trust your character, but Ms. Langdon and the others are all rich and beautiful. If they were to take the initiative, I'm afraid you might not be able to resist!”

“Mom, you should stop worrying about this. Your daughter-in-law is only one person, and that's Bernie.”

“Would you ever consider finding a lover?”

The corner of Finnegan's mouth twitched violently. “Mom!”

Quickly glancing outside, Quiana lowered her voice and said, “Finny, it's not that I don't believe in you. It's just that you're becoming more and more capable, and who knows if others might harbor intentions toward you, right? So, if you truly couldn't resist temptation and made a mistake, you must hide it well. You can't let Bernie find out, and you absolutely must not fall in love with someone else. Do you understand?”

Finnegan furrowed his brows, asking, “Mom, did Mrs. Miles say something to you?”

“Mrs. Miles didn't say much. Just remember what I've told you,” she responded.

Quiana waved her hand and walked out, feeling awkward about discussing such matters with Finnegan.

Pinching his nose, Finnegan got up and followed her out.

Hailey approached from the side. “There's a bit of an issue.”

“Go in and speak,” he said.
