The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1095

The guard stared in disbelief. Was it possible that Charlotte and the man beside her were the ones who set fire to the casino? If that was true, Aloys would recognize them the moment he saw their faces.

Across The Hawk Estate, Marcia and Rena were sipping tea and chatting. The mood changed instantly when the maid arrived with news. Marcia’s teacup slipped from her hand and shattered on the floor.

Rena frowned, her eyes full of confusion as she looked at the maid. “Who did you say?” she pressed, annoyance creeping into her voice.

The maid avoided their eyes, her voice barely above a whisper. “Franco is back. He brought his daughter with him.”

“What?” Rena shot up from her chair, eyes wide in shock. She glanced at Marcia, whose face had drained of color. “Marcia, is this for real? Franco has a daughter?”

Marcia tried to keep her cool, lowering her gaze and wiping her fingers, but her mind was a mess. “Let’s go see for ourselves.”

Franco really had a daughter? Why show up out of the blue? Were they here to fight over the inheritance? Or maybe this was about a marriage alliance with the Churchill family.

“Wait for me, Marcia!” Rena managed to put her cup down before hurrying after her friend.

In the main hall, Allanson sat at the head of the table, calmly twirling a string of beads between his fingers. His eyes were half-closed, but his presence filled the room with silent authority.

Aloys sat to his left, looking stiff and tense, his expression dark. His cold gaze never left the front entrance.

Aloys shoved his chair back and jumped to his feet, his face a mix of shock and disbelief. It was really them.

Were they making a fool out of him?

Charlotte noticed Aloys’s reaction. She adjusted her hat, meeting his gaze head-on, not the slightest bit intimidated. Her stance and expression were pure confidence.

Aloys gripped the edge of the table, his eyes never leaving Charlotte. He was just about to move forward when Anthony stepped in front of her, blocking his path. Anthony looked down at him, his voice cool and calm. “What, you want to start something?”

Aloys clenched his jaw, his words coming out sharp and cold. “You stole billions from me, burned down my casino, cost the Hawk family a fortune. If I want to do something, what are you going to do about it?”
