“Solenia is pretty much settled,” Charlotte said softly, nibbling on some fruit. “She’ll be back in a day or two.”
Once her mom took the antidote, she could finally breathe easy.
“That’s great, really great.”
Robert nodded, clearly pleased, then looked at the couple with a gentle smile. “When your mom’s back, it’s about time our families met up.”
Both Anthony and Charlotte glanced up at those words. They knew exactly what he meant.
“I think—”
“No rush.”
Anthony had barely started to speak before Charlotte cut him off. She looked tired, her voice steady. “Let’s wait a bit.”
