The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1134

“Charlotte, what are you trying to do?” Olivia’s voice trembled as she bit her lip, struggling to get up from the floor. She glanced at Charlotte’s cold, terrifying expression, then managed to push herself to her feet. “I’m calling the police!”

She barely took two steps before Charlotte’s hand clamped down on her collar. In the next instant, Olivia was yanked straight into the restroom.

A scream tore from her throat, echoing through the entire floor. Water splashed everywhere as Charlotte shoved her head into the sink, her eyes wild and tinged with red. Olivia flailed, trying to fight back, but Charlotte didn’t even blink. The only thing running through Charlotte’s mind was a single, vicious thought. She wanted Olivia gone, for good.

Just as Olivia’s struggles started to weaken, a clear voice called from outside the door. “Charlotte.”

Stella’s voice snapped Charlotte out of her rage, bringing her back to herself. She slowly loosened her grip.

“I’m not killing you,” she spat, her voice icy, “because you’re not worth the trouble. I won’t dirty my hands on someone like you.” She didn’t want the label of murderer, didn’t want to bring shame to the Gates or Blair families. Not to mention, she refused to ruin Stella’s special day with blood.

If this had happened before, Olivia wouldn’t have survived even once, let alone now.

It took a few long seconds, but finally Olivia gasped for air, tears streaming down her face, mixing with water as she shook from head to toe. Her voice broke as she sobbed, “I’m sorry, I get it, please don’t kill me!”

“Don’t let me catch you starting trouble again. Because next time…” Charlotte let go of Olivia’s hair and stood tall, looking down at her with a chilling stare. “You won’t walk away.”

“I understand, I swear!” Olivia nodded frantically, terrified of the look in Charlotte’s eyes.

She wracked her brain, then her eyes went wide. The bracelet looked exactly like the one she’d picked up before. Wasn’t it just carnelian? How could it be worth that much?

Five million as the starting price. Olivia stared at the number, stunned. If her bracelet was really the same as the one in the picture, she could sell it for even more.

She should’ve known. Nothing that belonged to Charlotte could be cheap.

But her excitement faded as quickly as it came. Her smile froze. She’d thought that bracelet was worthless and had just tossed it in a bag when she cleaned out her dorm. She brought it home, but who knew where it had ended up? For all she knew, it was buried in some random corner or, worse, thrown out with the trash.

The thought made her face go pale. Forgetting about her soaking wet hair, Olivia grabbed her bag and bolted for home, desperate to find the bracelet before it was too late.
