The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1154

Solenia. X Organization. N Organization. And Newell.

Anyone who wanted to mess with her really needed to think twice about their own strength.

She knew she’d have to go back to the Isle of Veil eventually, and when she did, she was determined to take over the gene biology research institute. If Allanson wanted to play games, she’d play along and settle every score, old and new, with The Hawk Family.

Anthony trusted her completely. He knew The Hawk Family might try to use her weaknesses against her, but with Charlotte’s skills, they’d never really have her under their thumb. Still, he couldn’t help but worry about her health, especially with those side effects from the gene mutation starting to show.

“This actually works out. If you stay, I won’t be distracted. Besides handling The Blair Group, you can help sort out N Organization,” she said, her tone casual but her eyes sharp.

Lately, the symptoms from her mutation were showing up more and more. Allanson’s interference had thrown off her plans, and she hadn’t had time to get things organized at N Organization.

“I have a feeling we’ll need N Organization on this trip to the Isle of Veil,” she added, stepping forward and squeezing Anthony’s hand. A confident smile played on her lips. “Anthony, I’ll be counting on you to back me up.”

Anthony paused, his voice low and rough when he finally spoke. “Be careful. Whatever happens, I’m here.”

“Don’t worry!” Charlotte grinned, wrapping her arms around his neck and standing on tiptoe to kiss the corner of his mouth. “I can’t wait to finish all this and come back to make us official.”

He watched her plane take off, his gaze fixed on the sky long after it disappeared. His face was dark, the air around him tense with anger and worry.

“Anthony, what should we do now?” Hans trailed after him, barely daring to breathe. Charlotte just kept getting bolder. For her, going to the Isle of Veil was like going home.

Back at the casino, if he had just listened to her and agreed to be with her, he’d have it all by now. But no, he had to fall for Charlotte instead.

Looking at Charlotte’s proud face, Rena’s scorn only grew. Last time she’d slipped up and let Charlotte get away with it. This time there was no chance she’d let her go.

Half an hour later, the convoy rolled up to The Hawk Estate.

Charlotte hopped out, a backpack slung carelessly over one shoulder, hands stuffed into her pockets. She strolled into the main hall, head down, but her attitude said she owned the place.

The bodyguards straightened up the moment they saw her, a mix of respect and fear on their faces. The last few times she’d been here had left scars, and no one wanted to be the next lesson. No one could guess what chaos she’d bring this time.
