The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1174

“If you can take out Solenia, N Organization, and X Organization, then sure, her life is yours.”

Aloys glanced around. There weren’t many people from X Organization or N Organization here, but each one looked like they could take down an army. And just a moment ago, he’d gotten word—Solenia and Apex were already on standby, ready to storm Isle of Veil whenever they got the signal.

Three against one.

No matter how tough the Hawk family was, there was no way they could fight off three powerhouse organizations at the same time.

Aloys’s face went pale, but he wasn’t about to let Charlotte off the hook. His voice was hard. “She has to answer for what she did to the genetic research institute.”

Leave the virus strain behind, or leave her life.

“Answer for it?” Anthony lowered his gaze, his thumb brushing a loose strand of hair away from Charlotte’s temple. He let out a soft laugh. “As the heir to the institute, she can do whatever she wants. Blowing it up or razing it to the ground, that’s all within her rights. If you really want an explanation, I can send you straight to Mrs. W. You can ask her yourself.”

The words had barely left Anthony’s mouth before Snake, right beside him, raised his gun and pointed it at Aloys, chambering a round. “So? Still want that explanation?”

“Dad!” Marcia’s voice was shaky, her face drained of color, her body stiff with fear.

They’d messed up, big time. They’d planned for every way Charlotte might escape, but never once had they imagined she’d have three of the world’s most powerful organizations backing her up.

Aloys had more to say, but the words just died in his throat.

“Anyone else have something to say?” Anthony asked, gently running his fingers through Charlotte’s hair. There was a hint of a smile on his lips, but his eyes were icy cold.

Anthony’s patience snapped. His eyes turned ice-cold. He pulled a gun from his pocket, aimed at Aloys’s leg, and pulled the trigger without a second thought.

The shot rang out, echoing through the hall. Aloys dropped to the floor, blood quickly soaking through his pants.

Anthony handed the gun back to Hans, grabbed a clean jacket, and draped it over Charlotte’s shoulders. He gently pressed her head against his chest, his voice as warm as ever. “Take care of them.”

Within three seconds, every one of Aloys’s men had been shot in the leg. They never even got the chance to fight back.

Snake trailed behind, staring at the bullet still left in his gun, a frustrated look on his face. “Why’d you stop mouthing off? If you don’t talk trash, how am I supposed to shoot you?” All his buddies had gotten a shot in. He wanted his turn, too.
