The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1188

“Okay.”

Charlotte reached out and ruffled Morton’s hair, a smile tugging at her lips. “Pass the N Organization’s graduation exam, and I’ll let you pick any AK you want from the X Organization’s armory.”

Anthony gave her a look that said he knew exactly what she was up to.

“What?” Charlotte caught the subtle shift in his expression. She tilted her head, her voice lazy and teasing. “You got something to say?”

“Who, me? I wouldn’t dare.” Anthony leaned in, brushing a kiss against the corner of her mouth. His voice was soft and tempting. “Forget about the X Organization. I belong to you too.”

“Good answer, Anthony.” Charlotte lifted her hand and gently touched his face, then nestled closer into his arms and closed her eyes. “I’m tired.”

“Then sleep,” he whispered.

He pulled a thin blanket over her and told Hans to turn up the heat, his eyes lingering on Charlotte’s face, full of gentle affection.

By ten that night, their plane touched down at Cabinda International Airport.

Charlotte took Morton straight to the hospital. She met with Hamlin and Zoe and discussed sending Morton to N Organization.

“I agree with Charlotte’s decision,” Hamlin said. He was off the ventilator now, some color returning to his cheeks. He looked at Charlotte with pure gratitude.

If not for her, he’d probably already be gone.

Morton’s grandmother had always said Charlotte was special, not someone ordinary. Entrusting Morton to her felt right.

After Morton was kidnapped, Zoe didn’t dare question anything anymore.

“In two days, I’ll come for Morton,” Charlotte said. She pulled a white bottle of pills from her bag and handed it to Hamlin. “Take these twice a day. It won’t be long before you’re fully recovered.”

“Thank you.” Hamlin’s eyes turned red with emotion. “Charlotte, I’m counting on you to look after Morton.”

“Don’t worry.”

Inside was a massive list, easily over a thousand items. She skimmed to the bottom, looking at the “cheaper” stuff.

Bracelet: valued at $8,888,888.

The cheapest thing was still over eight million? Charlotte stared at the screen, stunned. After a few seconds, a smile crept onto her lips.

“Do we really need this much just to get engaged?”

Thousands of wedding gifts, and she guessed the total must be in the billions.

“It’s necessary,” Anthony said, kissing her cheek, his eyes warm and full of love. “After all, I’m marrying someone priceless.”

Compared to her, none of it mattered.

Charlotte just smiled, not turning him down. “Guess I’ll be the one taking care of you from now on.”
