The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1215

Who would’ve thought she wouldn’t even catch anyone?

Honestly, it was a little wild that Olivia managed to dodge a citywide manhunt on her own. Was it really just her, or did she have someone helping her from the shadows?

If someone pulled off something like that in Novaria and made it look effortless, only DM could manage it. But clearly, it wasn’t them. So who else could know exactly where Olivia was hiding?

“Looks like the bracelet probably ended up with someone else,” Charlotte said, flicking her lollipop stick into the trash. Her eyes were cold as ever.

Judging by Marcia’s lost expression, she honestly had no clue where Olivia had gone.

Charlotte didn’t want to waste another second here. She stood up, ready to leave.

“Wait!” Marcia called out, her voice shaky. “When are you letting me go?”

Charlotte paused, barely turning her head. Her gaze was icy. “Did you really not think about what would happen when you decided to mess with me?”

Marcia fell silent, fingers tightening until her knuckles turned white. A hint of fear finally crept into her voice. “If I’m right, this is DM’s base. If the chief patriarch finds out you’ve kidnapped me—”

“So what?” Charlotte cut her off, her smile ice-cold, her eyes lowered. The air around her grew tense. “Forget the chief patriarch. Even DM’s leader can’t control what I do.”

She didn’t bother hiding how arrogant she was.

“This is Novaria, not your—” Marcia started, her eyes narrowing. But before she could finish, footsteps pounded in from the hallway, sharp and urgent.

Jacob.

He was the top of DM’s five patriarchs.

“Jacob, I’m here!” Marcia’s eyes went wide. It was like she was drowning and he was the life raft.

Someone from DM had found her. She was saved.

Charlotte was DM’s chief patriarch. The future leader. Everything made sense now. Of course she could walk in and out of Novaria however she wanted. Of course she acted so boldly.

It also meant Charlotte had known everything from the start and had purposely demanded that insane meeting fee.

“Charlotte!” Marcia finally found her voice. Anger flared in her eyes as she glared at Charlotte.

Charlotte barely spared her a glance. “You handle the rest,” she told Jacob, sounding bored, then turned to leave.

“Charlotte!” Marcia tried to chase after her, but Jacob blocked her after just two steps. “You think you can just say the Chief Patriarch’s name like that?”

“Do you even know who I am? You people really have some guts, going against The Hawk Family. Aren’t you scared—”

“Take her away.” Jacob didn’t even bother listening to her rant. He motioned for his men to shut Marcia up again.

Scared? Please. DM and The Hawk Family had clashed before. With the chief patriarch backing him, Jacob had nothing to fear.
