The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1578

Geneva’s eyes went wide. She couldn’t help the thought that flashed through her mind. These two weren’t ordinary people at all. Honestly, they looked perfect together.

Charlotte stood and walked to Anthony’s side. She took his hand, brought him over to Geneva, and gave a polite introduction. “This is my fiancé.”

“Hello, Grandma. I’m Anthony, Charlotte’s fiancé.” Anthony nodded slightly, respectful but not at all nervous.

Then his attention turned to Shirley, his tone warm and gentle. “Happy birthday.”

When he finished, Hans, sharp as ever, placed their gift carefully on the table.

“Thank you, Anthony,” Shirley said softly.

Geneva’s thoughts stuck on his name. Anthony? That sounded so familiar. Wait. She’d seen him on TV. Anthony, CEO of The Blair Group. Someone like him in a tiny place like hers? Hosting Charlotte was already stressful enough—now she had another big name in her living room. Why hadn’t Shirley told her exactly who these two were?

She tried to pull herself together, putting on her best serious face. “Such an important guest, and I didn’t even come out early to greet you. Mr. Blair, have you had lunch? If you don’t mind…”

Her place was small, the food simple. Would Mr. Blair scoff at her home cooking?

“I was in a rush and haven’t eaten yet,” Anthony said. He smiled at Charlotte and looked back at Geneva. “Perfect timing. I’d love to try your cooking.”

For a second, Geneva just stared at him. Why would a big-time CEO show up at her doorstep, happy to eat whatever she put on the table? And on top of that, he seemed so down-to-earth.

Shirley really did know some amazing people.

After that, the vibe of Shirley’s birthday totally changed. Andrew, Shirley, and the rest sat on the couch, stiff and quiet. Geneva, overwhelmed by Anthony’s presence, sat nearby, watching Charlotte and Anthony closely, not quite sure how to relax around them.
